Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • A great way to version control protocols and incorporate samples and reagent LIMS in one place. SciNote makes experiment planning easier and faster, and allows for collaboration amongst your coworkers.
  • SciNote has many customizable features such as keeping inventories of products, great organization of all work, detailed audit trail, and peer review system. The ability to attach Microsoft Excel and Word files to tasks is excellent.

Cons

  • There are a lot of attachments and sections that are embedded in sections, which requires a lot of clicking around, slowing down the process. The results section can be a bit more robust and would be great if there is a way to make across-experiment analysis easier within SciNote.
  • Not many cons as SciNote is a great product. Would be beneficial if all updates to the system had to be allowed by admin.
