Scientific and regulated organizations managing complex research and safety operations.

About SciSure

SciSure helps scientific organizations replace fragmented, disconnected systems with a single governed platform for managing lab operations, so teams spend less time reconciling data across tools and more time on research. By combining Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and Health & Safety (EHS) capabilities in one system, SciSure improves reproducibility, strengthens visibility into day-to-day lab activity, and helps organizations reduce risk as they scale. Researchers document experiments, protocols, and results in a structured, searchable digital format with customizable templates and version control, replacing paper notebooks and scattered files. Samples are tracked from intake through processing, storage, and disposal, maintaining full lineage and chain-of-custody records alongside chemical and general lab inventory management and workflow automation. Health & Safety functionality is built into the same platform, covering chemical inventory alongside Safety Data Sheets (SDS), regulatory compliance workflows, and audit readiness, so labs don't need a separate system to stay compliant and audit-ready.

Labs can also extend the platform through an optional marketplace of add-ons, so they can bring in additional capability, like AI-powered support, automated data analysis, protocol generation, toxicity prediction, and image analysis, only where it adds value, without disrupting the rest of their workflow or committing to features they don't need. SciSure also connects directly to lab instruments, external databases, and third-party tools, so data moves between systems without manual re-entry.

SciSure supports both cloud and dedicated hosting, giving organizations control over the deployment model that fits their infrastructure, security, and compliance requirements. It's built to serve academic institutions, biopharma and biotech companies, and start-ups alike, with role-based support for scientists, lab operations staff, safety and compliance teams, leadership, and IT professionals, so the platform works the way each type of user actually needs it to.

SciSure Product Features

AI Science

SciSure applies AI where it creates measurable value for scientists. Marketplace add-ons bring this into practice: an in-platform support assistant, automated data analysis, AI-assisted protocol generation, in silico toxicity prediction, and image analysis tools for cell and particle detection, plus specialized add-ons for areas like CAR-T research. Data control stays with the lab; models only see what's explicitly permitted, and outputs are built to be traceable rather than opaque. Teams can choose which AI tools to enable, keep them isolated to specific workflows, and add capability without disrupting the rest of the platform.

Chemical Inventory

SciSure helps labs track chemical stock, quantities, and locations in real time. Teams can monitor expiration dates, usage, and reorder needs while maintaining the documentation required for safety and regulatory compliance. Centralized chemical tracking reduces the risk of shortages, expired materials, or compliance gaps across lab locations.

ELN

SciSure's ELN gives researchers a digital space to document experiments, protocols, and results in a structured, searchable format. It replaces paper notebooks and scattered files with a single system that supports reproducibility and easier collaboration across teams. Records stay organized and accessible, making it simpler to reference past work, share findings, and maintain consistent documentation standards across a lab or organization.

LIMS

SciSure's LIMS gives labs a structured system for tracking samples from intake through results. Teams can manage sample lineage, automate workflows, and keep testing data organized and traceable. The system supports compliance requirements out of the box, helping labs maintain audit-ready records without adding administrative overhead. It's built to scale alongside growing sample volumes and increasingly complex lab operations.

Lab Inventory Management

SciSure helps labs keep track of reagents, consumables, and equipment in one place. Teams can monitor stock levels, set reorder thresholds, and reduce the risk of running out of critical materials mid-experiment. Centralized inventory data also makes it easier to plan purchasing, track usage patterns, and maintain visibility into what's on hand across labs or locations.

Medical Lab

SciSure supports medical and clinical laboratories with tools to manage samples, track results, and maintain compliant, audit-ready records. The platform helps labs standardize workflows across testing, documentation, and reporting, reducing manual errors and giving lab managers clearer visibility into day-to-day operations. Built-in Health & Safety features help labs meet regulatory requirements while keeping processes consistent across teams and locations.

Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

SciSure gives labs a central place to store, organize, and access safety data sheets for the chemicals they work with. Teams can quickly pull up hazard information, handling guidance, and compliance documentation when needed, reducing time spent searching for safety information and helping labs stay prepared for audits or safety reviews.

Scientific Data Management System (SDMS)

SciSure centralizes scientific data from instruments, experiments, and lab systems into one organized, searchable environment. Rather than data living in disconnected files or systems, teams get a single source of truth for tracking, retrieving, and reviewing lab data. This supports easier collaboration, stronger data integrity, and more reliable long-term record-keeping across the organization.

Sample Management

SciSure tracks samples from the moment they're collected through storage, processing, and disposal. Teams can maintain full lineage records, monitor sample status, and quickly locate samples when needed. This reduces the risk of lost or mishandled samples and supports compliance requirements that depend on clear, traceable sample histories.

    "Great Value"

    Posted 2024-03-13

Pros: Cost, feature content, feature addition request fulfillment, customer service, universal capability, and plenty more.

Cons: The only cons would be things I would only expect from a 100% custom software package integrating with our test software and servers.

Overall: We have gotten an incredible amount of use out of a program that really wasn't designed for our use. I think with all the additions over the years it has become even more applicable to us, but even in the beginning eLabJournal was well-equipped to handle what we need.

"eLabJournal is a great teaching resource!"

    Posted 2024-03-12

Pros: I converted to an electronic lab notebook system with my MS in Biotechnology students several years ago and researched a variety of platforms. I selected eLabJournal because of its ease of use, compatibility in a teaching situation, and excellent customer service and support.

Cons: While there was a learning curve for using the platform, it was relatively easy and my students adjusted to it quite well.

Overall: My overall experience with eLabJournal has been excellent. The transition from paper to electronic format has been much easier than I expected, primarily due to the outstanding customer support.

"Perfect system for meeting both Institute and User requirements at a reasonable price"

    Posted 2023-03-21

    Pros: - User Friendly
    - Highly flexible and customisable Inventory (including printing barcode labels, scan operation, and full integration with ELN)
    - Every user action is audit-trailed
    - Data/sample info is never deleted (only archived)
    - Each research group has a separate ELN environment, with cross-group collaborations being easy to set up
    - Quick and cyber-secure private cloud installation

Cons: - Sometimes the number of mouse clicks can be redundant for some functions, but the vendor is always taking new feature requests and is more than happy to consider implementing them where feasible.

Overall: Having been the lead for implementing eLabNext, I have noticed how flexible the system can be made to meet various user needs while remaining to compliant with regulatory and legal requirements. The support provided by the vendor is superb and a newly appointed Australian hire ensures that support is provided with a reasonable turnaround time.
