About
Jean is an open-source development workspace for developers coordinating AI coding agents across local and remote projects. It brings repositories, Git worktrees, agent sessions, terminals, and code review into a desktop application, with a browser interface served by the user's own machine or Linux server. Developers can create isolated worktrees for issues and pull requests, run supported agents in parallel, inspect diffs, and use Git tools for reviewing code and preparing commits. Jean connects to GitHub and Linear workflows and supports integrations including Sentry and CodeRabbit. It works with coding-agent command-line tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, Cursor Agent, and Kimi Code. Jean is intended for solo developers and software teams who want to coordinate agent-assisted work while running projects on their computers or servers.

About
Paseo is an open-source agentic development environment for developers who use AI coding agents. It runs coding-agent providers installed on a local computer, development server, or other machine, and provides desktop, web, mobile, and command-line clients for managing them. Developers can run multiple agents in parallel in separate Git worktrees, organize sessions into workspaces, edit files, inspect diffs, use terminals and a built-in browser, and work with pull requests. Paseo includes scheduling, voice input and output, plugins, and orchestration through MCP, a CLI, and a TypeScript SDK. Its daemon can run locally, in Docker, or on a remote host; clients connect directly or through an optional encrypted relay. Optional Paseo Hub adds GitHub, Slack, and Discord triggers. Users install and authenticate their own coding-agent providers and supply their credentials; Paseo does not include an agent service.
