Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The feature that stands out for me is the assignment of tasks and subtasks, as this has allowed me to have a better record and tracking of the processes that must be completed in a project, resulting in having total control and minimizing time losses in case something fails. Jira's customization is unmatched, organizing work with this platform is incredible as it gives total control to customization and even more so when it has different templates that allow streamlining the planning of a project. It has AI integrated into certain tools on this platform, this has helped me generate much more efficient reports, it also integrates with different popular platforms in relation to communication and teamwork.
  • Jira is a brilliant and exceptional tool that provides great features that makes project management easier. I have been using Jira for more than 8 years and it has been of great help to me and my organization. I like the fact that it is so easy to tailor the project management view on Jira to your organization's needs.
  • There are certain capabilities of this software which i like a lot about this software like: 1. Powerful search & filtering capabilities 2. Extensive integrations with Atlassian & third party tools 3. Granular permissions for different team roles 4. Broad ecosystem of Add-ons & apps.
  • Jira provides the full solution with robust and flexible features that allow you to fully manage & automate the workflow of simple, as well as complex projects. It also has rich reporting and analytics.
  • I have been using JIRA for 10+ years. I love it but also hate it at the same time. However the love for it far surpasses the unhappiness! Atlassian has been making the product better the last 2 years and Cloud is by far the best they have ever done. The platform is powerful and the ease of use is improving in each release. At this point there is literally no need to use anything else.

Cons

  • Extensive and deep features that require some learning time to be able to use this tool properly. I would like them to simplify the learning process so that it is easier to adapt. In addition, its interface became more complex after applying certain updates, which radically changed how the interface was structured. Although this platform is complex to use, there are certain features that require a bit of tools, especially in the communication part. I feel that my work team has a hard time adapting to maintaining communication within this platform. It seems that Jira does not adapt to the new communication methods that currently exist.
  • To be sincere, there is nothing i dislike about Jira as it meets all my expectations.
  • The clunky interface always makes people a little confused about the features of capabilities of Jira Software, simplifying the same could benefit the users a lot.
  • Due to the extensive features Jira has, the learning curve is quite steep and it is suggested that you invest in training.
  • For junior or small teams JIRA is too much but for any team doing actual product development work this is the tool.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The due date driven nature ensures our team is focused on getting work done for clients. Having almost everything we need in one tool means we don't have to manage multiple platforms for things like time tracking or resource management. The resource and workload planning tools are key to ensuring we have the resources to support tour clients. There have been very few outages of the platform, which makes it reliable.
  • Teamwork is built for agencies that value time. Time tracking is woven through the entire system allowing agencies to plan, use, and measure time. And for agencies time is $$. Budgeting tools are flexible and you can set budgets by time, all hours, billable hours, and retainers (and fixed budgets are coming soon). This feature is great for helping workers stay on track to budgets at a glance. Client collaboration is excellent. Adding clients is free and they can gain access to as much or as little information as you choose. The project management portions are intuitive with all the foundational elements you need to organize workloads, projects, and individual tasks. The mobile app is optimized for communications that allow project team members to keep information flowing no matter where they are. The company is very receptive to community feedback.
  • Teamwork is nimble. It enables users of all types to visualize work in a number of different ways. From boards, to lists, to tables, to "My Work", users can structure what requires their focus in a way that suits them best. Every platform requires diligence to make its use, well, useful. Teamwork makes use... easy... intuitive... productive.
  • The Teamwork user interface is very responsive. Although there is some learning curve and when you learn everything it performs superbly well. Its dashboard contains a detailed project overview. Switching between different projects is easy.
  • Teamwork is for us a tool created with the exclusivity of fulfilling each commercial purpose in a transparent and responsible manner, promoting teamwork, and delicately drawing a route with which we have been able to work constantly as planned. One of the important things is time management, the evaluation of billable hours and that the time invested in work performance has real value. The assignment of tasks and the planning of these helps us to maintain an order on the delivery of projects in a timely manner, making successive progress, in addition, the creation of subtasks allows us to break down tasks and do things with much more detail. The ease of using the platform has allowed us to integrate the entire work team very well, we adapt quickly and appropriate Teamwork in our daily work without problems. The methodology to keep the team connected and active by working collaboratively that Teamwork offers is totally innovative, through comments and exchanges of ideas it has allowed us to advance by improving aspects, doing things in an integral way.

Cons

  • Reporting is improving but still limited. Customer support can be inconsistent in resolving issues. It can be cumbersome for end-users.
  • Reporting in general is lacking but I am hearing this is getting a lot of attention right now. Data views are great but need a little more finesse with sorting and collapsing abilities. I also wish 3rd party chat systems could integrate better. Their own chat system seems to work great and we would use that with clients if it was free and included in the base cost. Spaces should be a part of projects and not and independent product.
  • There isn't anything to dislike. Are there areas that can be improved? Sure. I would love some configurability to the project dashboard.
  • There is some learning curve on Teamwork platform.
  • Although Teamwork undoubtedly presents great characteristics that have allowed us to perform within the commercial management in the realization of different projects for the correct fulfillment of these, but, on the other hand, it presents gaps where I think more development is needed to exploit its potential to the maximum. , the updates have been more specific in improving different aspects of interface and quality in their reports, where the interface has aspects that are not very precise or intuitive, on the other hand, the reports, on the other hand, need more detail in the presentation of the data, That the reports have an optimal presentation is vital so that our work can be updated and maintain an adequate performance analysis. We agree that the updates would allow us to focus on appropriate improvements, however, adapting a suitable schedule for this would allow us to prevent our work within the platform so as not to lose our progress due to these updates that appear out of nowhere, a simple notice would give us more convenience in our workflow.
