About

JAMS Incident Management makes sure the right person knows when something breaks, then keeps escalating through voice, SMS, push, email, Microsoft Teams, and Slack until someone acknowledges it. Alerts can come from monitoring tools, email, webhooks, or the API, so it works with any team and any stack. Where most alerting tools stop at notifying, this one can also act: a responder can restart, continue, or cancel a failed job directly from the alert, and acknowledging it updates the source system automatically, so nothing gets tracked twice. JAMS Scheduler is not required, but a failed job can open an incident automatically for teams that use it. On-call gaps are expensive because they compound quietly: a missed alert becomes a longer outage, and a longer outage becomes lost trust. The reason to look at this now is the gap between detecting a problem and getting a human to fix it, which is exactly where most incidents actually go wrong.

About

Pulsetic is an uptime and website monitoring platform for businesses, developers, ecommerce teams, and agencies that need fast outage detection and clear incident communication. It monitors websites, APIs, IPs, SSL certificates, ping, ports, TCP services, keywords, cron jobs, and domains from up to 15 global locations to help localize outages and reduce false positives. Features include instant alerts via email, SMS, phone calls, Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Twilio, Zapier, webhooks, and API workflows, plus real-time dashboards, status badges, response-time insights, historical uptime logs, PDF and image reports, and long-term monitoring history. Pulsetic also includes public or private status pages, custom domains, branding, multilingual status updates, subscriber notifications, incident timelines, scheduled maintenance notices, custom email sender options, teammates, password protection, 2FA, and SSO.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I run many of my own self-hosted services. Pulsetic methodically tests accessibility to my services and reports any detected failures. Notices arrive quickly. K8S pods can be tested just like any other web-exposed service.

Cons

  • The paywall is based on number of services checked rather than the amount of traffic they receive. Even though I run many services, none get very much traffic as they are all private. There must be a better way to tell the little guys apart from the big.
