About

IronPDF is a leading C# PDF library for creating and editing PDFs. Its user-friendly API helps developers quickly generate professional, high-quality PDFs from HTML in .NET projects.

About

PDFik is an asynchronous API that turns public URLs or raw HTML into pixel-accurate PDFs. Submit a job, receive a job ID, and get an HMAC-signed webhook when the PDF is ready — polling endpoints exist too. Rendering runs on sandboxed headless Chromium, so modern CSS, web fonts and JavaScript-heavy pages render correctly. Key capabilities: signed webhooks with automatic retries and a dead-letter queue on every plan, including Free; two published billing meters (rendered PDFs and generated GB, counted separately — downloads never debit quota); a free test mode ("test": true) that exercises the full pipeline without spending quota; files up to 150 MB on every plan; guaranteed deletion of generated documents within 24 hours; per-job credentials encrypted end to end; official SDKs for JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and Java plus a public OpenAPI spec. Free plan: 100 PDFs and 0.5 GB per month, card verified and never charged. Paid plans from $29/month with a 99.5% SLA.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • We build a automated reporting workflows for clients, and ironpdf handles the conversion from dymanic html templates into polished pdfs without issues. Output quality stays consistent even with comples layouts (tables, embedded images, multi-page reports), and it holds up well when we are generating large batches at once. Setup into our existing backend took very little time.
  • I really like how easily it converts dynamic HTML dashboards containing show segments and schedules into beautifully organized PDF files for the broadcast crew. The layouts remain absolutely intact, saving us from the usual format distortion when printing media guides.
  • The ability to translate our HTML content calendars and analytics dashboards into pixel-perfect PDF decks is a huge time-saver. Client reports look crisp, with proper image alignments and typography, maintaining our agency’s visual identity without issue.
  • What stands out most is the speed and stability when generating recurring administrative reports. It reads our web portal's HTML tables and exports them into well-organized PDFs instantly, which saves our team countless hours of manual formatting every month.
  • I love how cleanly it converts our web portal's storage rental agreements and client billing tables into standard PDF files. The typography and table borders remain completely intact, which gives our customer-facing documents a sleek, modern look.

Cons

  • When something goes wrong in a template, the debugging feedback is not very detailed.
  • Finding out the exact CSS tweaks for optimal page breaks on massive, hours-long sports schedules can sometimes take a couple of testing rounds.
  • When exporting heavy, image-filled social media portfolios, the rendering time increases slightly and requires trimming image dimensions beforehand for optimal file size.
  • The initial setup required assistance from our IT team since the configuration options are developer-oriented.
  • Adjusting standard page margins for complex multi-page contracts requires spending a bit of time tweaking CSS rules initially.
