About

IronPDF is a leading C# PDF library for creating and editing PDFs. Its user-friendly API helps developers quickly generate professional, high-quality PDFs from HTML in .NET projects.

About

PDF library for creating, editing, displaying and printing Acrobat PDF documents. The PDF API is small, fast, easy to use and integrate into your projects, and is completely written in Java. The API has been designed so you don't need to know the PDF specification in order to create PDFs. We hide as much of the gory details as possible but still give you almost complete control over the PDF itself. Where possible we re-use standard Java classes - for example the pages are stored in a java.util.List, which can be manipulated any way you like (so moving pages from one document to another is a breeze). This means an API which is smaller and easier to remember.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The most impressive feature is its pixel-perfect reproduction of our web-based student certificates. It keeps our custom typography, digital signatures, and university seals fully intact without distorting the layout, which is essential for our academic credibility.
  • What I appreciate the most is how perfectly it handles our complex dashboard exports. As a technical product owner, I need our HTML-based data visualizations and charts to render identically in PDF format, and this library achieves that without dropping any CSS styling or graphical elements.
  • The most valuable aspect is how effortlessly it transforms our dynamic web-based booking summaries into stunning, client-ready PDF itineraries. It perfectly preserves our brand colors, custom typography, and high-resolution images of historical sites without any weird overlapping.
  • We love the ability to take our customized online catering quotes and instantly turn them into beautiful, client-ready files. It captures all our branding elements, custom fonts, and pricing tables with zero layout breakage.
  • The speed at which it processes dynamic web forms into downloadable PDFs is brilliant. The text remains fully sharp and searchable, which makes archiving vendor agreements and facility delivery logs seamless for our administrative staff.

Cons

  • Figuring out the optimal CSS parameters to handle page breaks for our extensive multi-chapter study guides required some testing at the beginning of our deployment.
  • Integrating the initial API calls with our legacy backend systems required a little more digging into the documentation than our development team originally anticipated.
  • Figuring out the optimal CSS parameters to handle page breaks for our extensive multi-day tour schedules required some testing at the beginning.
  • Running multiple heavy image-based floor plans at the exact same time can sometimes cause a minor delay in rendering the final output.
  • The official setup documentation is geared primarily toward developers, so non-technical staff will need a hand from IT during the initial template setup.
