About
ImpactLine is a browser-based public-finance reader for exploring government budgets and fiscal data. It brings together federal, state and city records in a common workspace, where residents, journalists, researchers and civic analysts can review revenue, appropriations, agency and department spending, and selected federal awards. Users can open budget totals to inspect underlying programs and line items, compare jurisdictions or fiscal years, and follow figures to the published government filing or data source. Fiscal-year labels distinguish enacted budgets, reported actual spending and other measures, which may cover different periods and are not interchangeable. The service also provides source-linked summaries and plain-language questions about the selected government and year. Coverage and detail vary by jurisdiction; the reader is independent and is not an official government audit.

About
OpenGov was founded in 2012 by Zac Bookman, Joe Lonsdale, and technologists from Stanford University, who studied government budgeting in the aftermath of the Great Recession. They observed dedicated public servants struggle against outdated technology that prevented them from accessing timely spending information and communicating their priorities to residents and elected officials. Believing there was a better way, they built modern cloud software designed exclusively for government.
Today, OpenGov is the leading government software provider, with cloud-based solutions including Budgeting & Planning, Permitting & Licensing, Procurement, Cartegraph Asset Management, Financials, and Tax & Revenue. Over 1,900 public agencies nationwide form a growing network leveraging OpenGov to operate more efficiently, adapt to change, and strengthen public trust.
