About

Our mission is to organize the world's information so that everyone can access and use it. Every time you search, there are thousands, sometimes millions, of webpages with helpful information. How Google figures out which results to show starts long before you even type, and is guided by a commitment to you to provide the best information. Even before you search, Google organizes information about webpages in our Search index. The index is like a library, except it contains more info than in all the world’s libraries put together. In a fraction of a second, Google’s Search algorithms sort through hundreds of billions of webpages in our Search index to find the most relevant, useful results for what you’re looking for. To help you find what you’re looking for quickly, Google provides results in many useful formats. Whether presented as a map with directions, images, videos or stories, we’re constantly evolving with new ways to present information.

About

As kids, we’re all taught not to touch stuff that doesn’t belong to us. It’s a good guideline. So why are online companies harvesting our personal data without our consent? They shouldn’t. That’s why we’re developing online tools that help you stay in control of your personal information. Search is done. Expect other private versions of common digital services soon. You can’t beat Google when it comes to online search. So we’re paying them to use their brilliant search results in order to remove all trackers and logs. The result: The world’s best and most private search engine. Only now you can search without ads following you around, recommending products you’ve already bought. And no more data mining by companies with dubious intentions. We want you to dance like nobody’s watching and search like nobody’s watching. We don’t collect or share your personal information. There’s literally no data about you on our servers.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • None. It used to support Canada but now only .com exists and searches suck. I can't think of any current "Pros"
  • The sorting of results is my favorite feature of Google. I appreciate that I can easily toggle between images, videos, news, and search results to find the most accurate result for what I am looking for. I find that they often have what I need on the first search result page as well, saving me time.
  • The best search engine I had ever used is Google. It finds everything. I use it daily for every purpose like Learning and earning as well. Google help me out it has solutions for every problem. It helps me a lot and I found it is very easy to use and handle anyone can use it very easily. The voice search is amazingly search things correctly.
  • It is very easy to operate. It is pre-installed on most of the devices. Very great reach and speed. It provides you to control your privacy, management and customisation. Its DISCOVER function always keep me notified about various exam related information It provides you with most of the services you will need.
  • 1. It gives refined results for all the searches. 2. Searches can be made with audio, text and images as well. 3. It gives quick results for all the searches. 4. It is available on all the platforms. 5. Furthermore, it can be integrated with other Google application. 6. It gives important news and articles at the glance.

Cons

  • EVERYTHING. Read the pros. All searches are U.S. based now and attempting a Canadian search brings up garbage, Ads and very little content. mostly useless. Even doing random searches, It's like Google swallowed an IDIOT pill or got the "Stupid 19" virus. I have been bouncing to all sorts of search engines and they all seem horrible now. I've used Google for 20+ years and it just sucks and now caters to Americans only. It's become impossible to bear or use. There is NOWHERE to DISABLE A.I. that I did not ask to have or want. I typically scrolled below it every result and looked for non A.I. generated crap.
  • Recently, the paid ads and paid search results have become really prevalent. I essentially skip the first few results every time because I know that these will be paid to be there, not necessarily what I'm looking for. It is annoying, and something that has recently become much more of a problem.
  • No problem in Google. It helps he a lot I did not found any of the cons in it.
  • I didn't like its recommendation system as we get the same recommendation on every browser or application. It would be great if it would work in old versioned devices also. it sometimes a hassle to find the most relevant answer.
  • 1. It is one of the best search engines on the internet, No cons.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Same search quality as Google, because of a contract between the two. Privacy-friendly (doesn't collect as much data like Google)

Cons

  • When you search for a short period of time, Startpage will show a form that you need to fill in order to keep using. This form asks if you are using a VPN, Tor, etc. Quite annoying for me.
