About

Forty Questions measures how often AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode) name a B2B software company when a buyer asks for a recommendation, then does the fix work. Forty frozen buyer questions, each asked three times on separate days in a fresh session, counted by rules published before collection: 480 answers a month, every answer and every cited page kept. The monthly service includes writing and placing the pages the assistants read, with the client's approval on each. The method is published under CC BY 4.0, and the complete audit run on Forty Questions itself is public on the website. Free first report (5 questions, 30 answers); $750 one-off audit with at least four specific fixes; from $1,500 a month, cancel any month. No placement guaranteed. For B2B software companies selling into Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Before 2025, it seemed to work invisibly and effectively. I didn't even know it was there. Apparently my hometown government likes it well enough, because they refuse to do anything about it.

Cons

  • There are a lot of legitimate sites that I can't get to, some that I've been accessing for years without issue, since the October 2024 update. Even though it's probably blocking some legitimately bad sites, I can't judge for myself, because FortiGuard is biased in their decisions and opaque about their criteria. I can only guess that at least 80% of what they've block my access to are sites I trust from experience.
