Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Easy to use by everyone and great integration. very simple and easy to combine and rearrange documents and pages. Helps to edit PDF really easily. Very convenient to use and store files and data. Fast integration. PDF editor and OCR is very helpful. Super easy to use to re-arrange pages, combine document and edit them. Glad I found this for the PDF editor! Also love how everything is laid out makes file management super easy while doing my tax returns this year! I love how easy FileCenter is to use! I actually enjoy using it. Saves so much time and not only have I organized my document but also my family photos. I really love the ease of use of the software for starters. Each of my users, as well as myself, now use it on a daily basis. We store files from financial records to HR records, to just about anything under the sun. The product is also a non-proprietary software. We had been using another solution, and it was an encrypted database solution. We loved it, but then the database got corrupted and there was no warning. Our backups didn't have a version that wasn't corrupted and we lost years of data. FileCenter has been great, and we now manage the encryption and the security ourselves. They also have a great tool that reads files that are consistently the same, like invoices and legal docs, then routes them automatically after processing the information. We used to take 3-5 hours a day to scan in all of our documents, process them, name them and then store them where they needed to go. Now our scanning person in charge of those document types takes about 5-10 minutes a day to just scan the files and the system does the rest. We have estimated that we save around $18,000-$20,000 a year on just that one document type every single year. We are now getting ready to get started on the next file to auto-route and can't wait to see the same kind of results. Cons Some documents are not supported by the application. Only con is that the Interface is little difficult to use. Some of my documents didn't OCR but they were tough ones. I have nothing to say bad about File Center. I wish I had found out about it sooner. The PDF Editor that is built into the software is kind of cumbersome to learn, but over a little bit of time and with some help from their trainers, we have been able to start getting the hang of it.
