When all designers are speaking the same language, everyone’s more empowered to do their best work.

About

Flutter is Google’s UI toolkit for building beautiful, natively compiled applications for mobile, web, and desktop from a single codebase. Paint your app to life in milliseconds with Stateful Hot Reload. Use a rich set of fully-customizable widgets to build native interfaces in minutes. Quickly ship features with a focus on native end-user experiences. Layered architecture allows for full customization, which results in incredibly fast rendering and expressive and flexible designs. Flutter’s widgets incorporate all critical platform differences such as scrolling, navigation, icons and fonts, and your Flutter code is compiled to native ARM machine code using Dart's native compilers. Flutter's hot reload helps you quickly and easily experiment, build UIs, add features, and fix bugs faster. Experience sub-second reload times without losing state on emulators, simulators, and hardware.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • A simple and intuitive interface. Everything makes sense once you get the hang of it. Lots of features, a variety of third-party plugins. Teamwork, comments, and much more.
  • I've been using Figma for the past 3 years, and I have nothing but praise - it's a solid 10/10. What I appreciate the most about Figma, including everything, is that this team listens to its community, cares about details, and introduces features that make work easier not only for designers but for everyone who uses the program, including developers, managers, users, and so on. Collaboration with multiple people in one file, auto layout, and the recently added dev mode are just a few of the things. Additionally, the mobile application that I can sync with my account allows me to see how the design looks on a mobile device in real-time, even when I update the design in the file. This also applies to tablets and more. It's perfect!
  • Figma is great for collaborative design, no doubt about that. Its ease of use could be better as you really have to be a designer to understand elements and design constructs. Overall though we use this inhouse with all our teams to share and collaborate.
  • Quality design tool. Figma is an impressive tool that provides endless basic and advanced functionalities that has allowed us to make our designs in real time and collaboratively with the entire work team and even our clients to provide them with quality material. Its interface and user experience is optimal and guarantees ease of use and adaptation throughout the process. It easily connects the entire work team, allowing us to act synchronously, giving us the possibility of brainstorming through notes and diagrams that allow us to express in greater detail each minimal aspect during different design steps. In one place we find how to exploit all our potential since since we were at zero we can create a completely new idea and develop it without any type of limitation. Its tools have allowed us to design our image in a much more developed way as it offers intelligent and dynamic features that reflect a much more realistic image. It has a portfolio of templates that adapt to our design systems and offers trending tools that allow us to constantly keep up to date. Another point that is important to highlight is that we can quickly create and deliver designs in real time adapted to the needs of our clients. Not only with this create work tables and team meetings where we can plan through whiteboards the entire design process so that everything is clear and we can quickly adapt to the work to be done, communication synchronization of the work team is one of the objectives in our company and having been able to achieve it with Figma was really an achievement, since the results can be seen both internally and internally. Prototyping has also given us the ability to show our clients our work without having to join the platform as it is possible to create a space where they can visualize the interaction of design and elements. Among so many things, its interface is really intuitive and easy to customize since it adapts to each of our requirements to be able to work according to what we need, it has a clean interface organized and with the right tools so we don't get stressed with so much work. DISLIKE It still has some small performance bugs, being based on the cloud I recognize that all our designs are safe there, however the processing of these designs during the experience on the platform is quite slow and presents regularities if my connection to Internet is not entirely good, even at times when I lost parts of the design made because I did not realize the connection. Being able to have a platform that can be used directly on my computer without connection, Daniela gives possibilities and opens the door to a better user experience and ease of use. And although it already has this, the interface is a bit limited and does not allow me to be quite free as today in the cloud platform. GENERAL In general terms, we really now have Figma, which is a highly capable platform to provide us with an optimal space for all the members of the work team to interact and translate all their ideas into a design, thus developing a quality product that we can offer you. to our clients and what we can adapt with enough flexibility according to what each one of them wants. Previously we had to save the work and then share it with our colleagues to give feedback on the work done, now this is no longer necessary since in real time we can all visualize the progress of the design and interact in the changes of the same. In this way, we do not make sharing work ideas so tedious, but rather a much more enjoyable environment. It has no barriers in terms of the development of each of our ideas, it allows us to be free enough professionals to create a whole new world. The tools are adequate and it has given us a space to create, build and be creative enough. Since we joined this platform, we have discovered that we were not really limiting new opportunities and that thanks to better developed work, our clients are much more satisfied with the new ideas proposed.
  • I'm a self-taught designer, so it was important for me to find a tool that's easy to learn on my own. Figma delivered in that aspect. The interface is intuitive, they have descriptive support pages with tips and tutorials. I can do all my design work in one software: sketching, workshops, prototyping, and design. This helps me save money, since I don't need to subscribe to any other product.

Cons

  • You can name the cost, a gradual reduction in free functionality
  • The only thing I believe should be improved is the prototyping functionality. Prototyping currently serves basic functions for me, but I would love it if it were possible to add animations and motion design to prototypes.
  • Ease of use could be better, not everyone is a designer! Native Mac app is a memory hog.
  • It still has some small performance bugs, being based on the cloud I recognize that all our designs are safe there, however the processing of these designs during the experience on the platform is quite slow and presents regularities if my connection to Internet is not entirely good, even at times when I lost parts of the design made because I did not realize the connection. Being able to have a platform that can be used directly on my computer without connection, Daniela gives possibilities and opens the door to a better user experience and ease of use. And although it already has this, the interface is a bit limited and does not allow me to be quite free as today in the cloud platform.
  • It can be overwhelming to keep up with all the new and existing features features. Also, with bigger files I need have to refresh the page sometimes for the changes to take place.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • - It is an easy-to-learn framework that helps in creating mobile application with beautiful UI. - It helps in creating cross-platform application with single code that shortens the development time drastically. - It has numerous widgets readily available to create user interface with lots of customization. - It has a great community support.
  • - It helps in building deeply optimized cross-platform application for both Android and iOS with single code base. - The application created on Flutter as fast, if not more, than the application build on the native platform. - The community is really supportive and increasing rapidly with time, so there is a rare chance that the developer gets stuck on an error or bug.
  • 1. Flutter makes it quite easy to build a cross-platform application with native features and functionalities. 2. With the recent Flutter 2.0 update, Flutter now also allows the users to create stable web application along with mobile apps. 3. The application builds on Flutter is as fast as application build on native platforms. 4. There widget available for almost everything in flutter. 5. It uses Dart programming language, which is pretty easy to learn if the user has a prior knowledge of any OOP language. 6. There is a huge community present on the internet for helping out with errors.
  • Flutter helps in creating android, iOS and web application with a single code base. It uses a programming language called Dart, which is extremely easy and intuitive to learn if you have prior knowledge of any OOP language like Java. It has a huge community of support for discussions or to get help if you get stuck.
  • 1. Flutter can be used to develop cross-platform applications as it can create applications for both Android and iOS with a single code base. 2. The most unique feature of Flutter is "Hot Reload". When using hot reload the developer do not have to wait for minutes to build the application after every change, it saves the change and rebuilds the application in less than a second.

Cons

  • - The web application created on flutter is not as stable as the mobile applications. FEEDBACK: - Flutter team should focus more on perfecting the mobile application instead of introducing new development platforms like web application and Windows Application.
  • - The updates are rapid, and it creates problem in the form of dependency deprecation, so to tackle that the developer has to be updated about the new features and functionalities of the framework.
  • 1. The iOS application build on flutter is not as good as the android application in terms of native support and performance.
  • The only problem in using Flutter as an app development tool is that it is still evolving and growing and because of that after every major update the old project's code gets deprecated which sometimes is a huge hassle to migrate to the new syntax.
  • 1. Flutter is fairly a new framework and there is not a lot of tutorials of it available on the internet.
