About

Edith is an editor for novelists who want an honest read of a finished draft before paying thousands for a human editor. It starts with an editorial letter: she reads the whole novel at once, up to 150,000 words, and tells you whether the story works and what to fix first ($15; try 10,000 words free). The complete edit ($249, one-time) then takes the book through five more stages: developmental (plot, character, pacing), structural (scene and chapter build), stylistic (the prose line by line), copyediting (grammar, consistency, a running style sheet) and proofreading. Every note can be talked through in a chat: ask why, push back, and settle it your way, like working with a human editor. She keeps the whole book in view and remembers your decisions across every stage. Edith suggests and never rewrites, so every word stays yours. Edits come back in a Word file, and manuscripts are never used to train AI.

About

Whether you write, you review, you comment, StackEdit's layout provides you with the flexibility you need, without sacrifice. StackEdit’s Scroll Sync feature accurately binds the scrollbars of the editor panel and the preview panel to ensure that you always keep an eye on the output while writing. StackEdit can sync your files with Google Drive, Dropbox and GitHub. It can also publish them as blog posts to Blogger, WordPress and Zendesk. You can choose whether to upload in Markdown format, HTML, or to format the output using the Handlebars template engine. Even when you travel, StackEdit is still accessible and lets you write offline just like any desktop application. You have no excuse! StackEdit supports different Markdown flavors such as Markdown Extra, GFM and CommonMark. Each Markdown feature can be enabled or disabled at your convenience.
