About

Invora is self-hosted invoicing software you buy once and own: estimates that convert to invoices, full or partial payment recording, branded PDF invoices, client records, VAT handling, multi-currency, and recurring invoice schedules. Integrations: REST API with Bearer keys, HMAC-signed webhooks, and an MCP endpoint so Claude, ChatGPT agents or n8n can operate it under the same role permissions as a signed-in user — sending email and deletion always stay human clicks. Append-only audit trail (CSV-exportable, secrets redacted), GDPR subject-access export and anonymisation, roles with invitations, guided backups and restore. Plain PHP 8 with MySQL or SQLite — no framework, no Composer, no build step; the full test suite ships with the source and is proven on SQLite, MariaDB and MySQL 8. One-time purchase from $34 with full source code included; no subscriptions, no per-user fees. Ungated live demo on the product page.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Clean and to the point interface. Free & Open source. Lots of extensions / plugins. Universal - Allows connecting to most of the popular db's via plugins. Has multiple Db management utilities. Multi platform - Available on mac, windows, linux.
  • Simple to use. Does not attempt to maximize unnecessary (and non functional) features. Responsive developers. Reverse engineer existing DBs from connections or scripts. And can generate a completely db independent ERD. The price rocks. The documentation generator is by far the best I've seen.

Cons

  • For a free solution and a universal one - I can't find any cons.
  • It is simple and sometimes manual alterations of DDL is needed (e.g., sharding, if present). I'm not (yet) allowed to use it at my current place of employment.
