Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Event Management Registration Website Creation Venue sourcing Layout creation Payment processing Support team
  • I enjoy how user friendly Cvent is and how I can create and manage multiple events easily. From the backend API systems communicating to using the app, this all encompassing platform has been a savior to our events team.
  • Cvent Event Management offers a wide range of advantages that make planning and executing events significantly more efficient and effective. Its centralized platform allows planners to manage registration, communication, reporting, and onsite tools all in one place, reducing the need for multiple systems and minimizing errors. The customizable event website and registration paths create a professional attendee experience while supporting complex event requirements. Automation features, such as email reminders, confirmation messages, and integrated payment processing, save time and ensure consistent communication. Cvent’s robust reporting and analytics provide real-time insights into registration trends, attendee engagement, and financial performance, empowering planners to make informed decisions quickly. Additionally, the platform’s onsite solutions, like check-in, badge printing, and session tracking, streamline day of event operations and enhance attendee satisfaction. Overall, Cvent delivers a powerful, scalable solution that improves efficiency, professionalism, and data accuracy throughout the entire event lifecycle.
  • Cvent is one of the best and most robust platforms I’ve ever used. It’s capable of handling everything an event planner needs—from complex web designs to registration logic and other essential tech components.
  • Cvent Event Management is by far the best event management system I have used. It does everything we need: - event website - registration process - multiple registration types - speaker management - session management - various pricing and discount models - automated email communications - event & session surveys - exhibitor management - etc. It does everything we need

Cons

  • I do not have any real cons regarding Cvent. They continue to improve each month as they add new services.
  • For online events, the speaker platform can be a bit wonky. Our speakers have trouble seeing us and certain content while they are presenting, which can make it difficult to communicate and signal certain cues when needed.
  • While Cvent Event Management is a powerful platform, it does come with some drawbacks. The system can be complex for new users, requiring training and time to fully understand its features and navigation. Its wide range of capabilities, though valuable, can feel overwhelming for smaller teams or simple events. Cvent can also be costly, especially for organizations running frequent or large-scale events, as additional modules and advanced features often come at an extra price. Customizations, particularly for event websites and emails, sometimes require specialized knowledge or support, which can slow down the setup process. Additionally, the platform’s performance may vary depending on internet connectivity, and certain updates or changes may require multiple steps to implement. Overall, while highly capable, Cvent may present challenges in terms of learning curve, cost, and complexity.
  • The platform can feel overwhelming at first due to its extensive features.
  • It does so much, I feel like sometimes I am missing something. Some feature or functionality I could use but I am not aware of. It is best to have a customer success person working with you to help you maximize the use of the system.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • InEvent has a white-label solution, which allows us to fully customize the look and feel of our event website, app, and lobby. This has given us the ability to make our events truly unique and on-brand. Additionally, the ability to integrate our own CRM and marketing software with InEvent has simplified our event management process and made it easier for us to track and analyze our event data. Another key aspect of InEvent that has impressed me is their excellent customer service. Their 24/7 customer support is incredibly responsive and helpful, with a built-in chat feature and a support portal that includes FAQs and tutorials. They even assign a dedicated account manager and developer for each event, which has made us feel well supported and confident in our ability to run successful events. In terms of platform features and options, InEvent has a lot to offer. With out-of-the-box options and integrations for different types of events, we've been able to choose from different themes, room modes, networking possibilities, gamification options, and more. This flexibility has allowed us to create events that truly meet the unique needs and goals of our organization. And with the ability to create multiple events on one board, managing our portfolio of events has become much more efficient and simplified.
  • It has been very easy for me to understand almost all the features of this platform, since it is well documented and all the information provided by InEvent is very complete for anyone who is starting in the world of organizing events. They should also create a kind of video tutorials so that new users become familiar with this platform more easily. These video tutorials should also integrate solutions which allow the entire event creation process to be automated. For me there are very few confusions that I have had with this platform, it has been very practical and dynamic and from the small problems that I have had I have been able to adapt, later I will explain what are the small problems that I have had throughout the use of this platform. However, I can't take away from the fact that the learning curve is as steep as you think, so once you get used to where each tool on this platform is located it will be a walk along job when doing an event with InEvent. . This platform is highly customizable so any company can adapt the features or needs they want to InEvent. There will be practically no limitations when it comes to customizing everything that can be done within this platform, even the generated reports can therefore be analyzed to what your company needs, in my case it has been very practical to know how useful it has been organized events with this platform in relation to doing it manually. If a free trial is required with this platform, it is possible, best of all, there are no limitations between the free trial and the paid version. This was very useful to me at the beginning of the InEvent implementation since we were not very clear about what to automate and the events created within my company, so not having any limitations within this platform was the best to test all the features without no limitation. Obviously the only limitation for the free trial was the time available to use the program. So once the test was finished, we decided to purchase this product since we saw good results.
  • inEvent is a totally reliable platform to develop all kinds of events and manage them correctly. The main thing I like is that it offers you a function and a tool to develop an event ticket booking page, in this way customers and visitors can buy the ticket from the page you created. Another thing that I like is that this platform does not charge additional commissions for the sale of tickets, the entire sale will reach your bank account immediately, you will not have to pay additional commissions for selling tickets for your events. This platform offers several templates to develop a very attractive ticket sales page.
  • Planning events in the short and long term can sometimes turn out to be quite a complicated task due to the large number of events that we have to plan in the company, InEvent has been a fairly proportional solution for our company and for carrying out the activities in it, due to to its great structure and due to its configuration it is accessible to plan events regardless of the number of participants. Before, I had used various platforms to hold events, but none compares to this because they have an unlimited system for participants, within this platform I can plan events without any type of limit on participants, for example, I can add 1000 participants as a list to a specific event. Another of the things that I liked about this platform is that it is capable of sending reminders through mobile notification, linked mail and also through instant messaging, from these three means the participants will be able to receive an alert when the presentation date for the event is approaching, This notification is to help them stay alert at all times and remind them to attend an event on a specific day. Another thing that I liked about this service is that it is able to update the status of each event, for example, our employees can carry out some other event and we can be attentive to say the event is running or not, or if you have already gone culminated. The operation of the real-time state of the events has helped us to maintain a corresponding order, we can see busy developing an event at a specific time, without a doubt the most important thing for us.
  • I have an event viewer where I can easily manage the events that are created, being able to do a simpler follow-up and with a detailed overview. It has customizable forms and templates of event details for any type of event that is going to take place.

Cons

  • One of the biggest challenges I have faced with this platform is that it can be overwhelming and complicated to use, especially for those who are new to it. With so many features and settings that need to be configured depending on the type of event, it can be hard to know where to start. It often requires a lot of testing and guidance to make sure everything runs smoothly, which can be time consuming and frustrating. Another potential downside to InEvent is that it can be expensive, especially for smaller events. Pricing levels are based on the number of assistants, features, and integrations, and some features you'd expect to be included in certain plans may not be, requiring you to pay more for them. This can be a barrier for organizations with limited budgets and can make it difficult to justify the cost of the platform. In addition to these challenges, InEvent also has some limitations and issues with certain features. For example, the Sponsor Lounge experience isn't very engaging and the agenda display is rigid and non-intuitive. Email marketing capabilities aren't very advanced either, which can be frustrating for organizations that rely heavily on email marketing for event promotion. Finally, some customization options require CSS coding, which may be beyond the skill set of some users.
  • The video call feature is very limited as there are tools that are not available similar to the video conferencing platforms that currently exist. To solve this we had to look for alternatives such as Zoom or Google Meetings. This was disappointing as we wanted a platform that integrated meetings with events we had planned in later days so that we weren't going from platform to platform after scheduling a meeting. It is very confusing to be able to navigate within the agenda with a general view. I wish it was easier to be able to preview all the events without having to Navigating the room is very difficult. when the events are longer it is very difficult to locate it, so if you could update the interface to be able to see the events more easily it would be the best. The technical support takes time to answer certain questions and concerns that I have had throughout the use of this platform, I would like to obtain a faster response time so as not to waste time waiting for a response time which takes time from me and my co-workers when wanting to use this platform. There is no easy way to keep track of all movements made on this platform. I would like you to have basic functions such as search AND filtering of any user who is in conjunction with the main account of this platform. With this function it would be easier to keep track of the annotations of the events created, to avoid confusion and be more organized within the work environment, having a better workflow and avoiding setbacks, since if an event that is not present is produced or created planned in advance can create problems with wasting time by participating in an event that was not planned. The prices for the webinar option are very expensive compared to other platforms. In addition, the more number of participants added, the higher the price will be, as far as it is concerned, it is not very flexible for small companies. There are many platforms that offer the same amount of features that this webinar-based platform offers, plus they offer free plans which allow you to match the features of this platform. So InEvent owners should rethink the costs for small and medium-sized companies and not focus on large companies since this platform has good potential.
  • The main problem with this platform is that when adapting to each of the functions for the first time it can be quite a complex process for some people or employees, I have noticed that this platform is difficult to use when it is the first time, there is no type of manual to help you adapt to it. Also, the mobile phone app takes a while to update the status of each event and ticket sold, to get a real-time update you should use the desktop version.
  • If we talk about the negative features in a general way about InEvent, there really are very few negative features about this software, however the few negative features that it has are important to mention so that all users can know exactly what software they are purchasing. One of the main things that I did not like about this software is that it is not capable of importing a list of contacts, there is no button to import a list of contacts previously created in some other service such as Microsoft, for example, in our company we have a list of contacts of our most frequent clients, if this software had the option to import contacts, we could import this list and use this contact list to plan an event. It currently does not have this system, so all the contacts that we need to reiterate we have to do manually and this is quite a time consuming process depending on the number of people that will be entered into the system. This is a negative feature that you need to be optimistic about as soon as possible, to allow all users to use a previously recorded contact list and streamline the registration process of all clients within the InEvent platform.
  • To be able to use this platform, you have to grasp the thread since with so many programming functions it is possible that you tend to get confused in the configuration. Implementation is another feature that is important to know how to configure, since it is an extensive process, in general terms it has a learning curve that is too steep to start from scratch. I wish I could have a visitor counter that helps measure the impact of the events that take place and thus know if they attract attention or not and thus be able to take the necessary measures to improve future events. I cannot Stream the events or presentations, it is important today since the quarantine makes us be locked up without the possibility of maintaining close contact with people, with a streaming service it is easier to carry out events. I wish you could have an option of electronic payments for when it is a small collaboration to enter the events that take place.
