About

ClipHearth is a desktop media workbench for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Browse in its built-in browser and the stream detector surfaces the video or sound playing on the page, including live streams and internet radio, and saves it in the best quality on offer. Live streams record until you stop them, playlists of up to 500 entries queue in one action, and subtitles can be embedded in the file. The Convertor turns files into 11 video and 9 audio formats, in batches, using the hardware encoder when one is available. The Editor trims, joins, recolors and speeds up clips, reshapes the audio and exports GIFs, always into a new file. Built for people and teams that keep media they own or are authorized to keep: their own streams, webinars, lectures and recordings. FFmpeg ships inside the app, the browser blocks ads and trackers, updates are signed, and the app holds no analytics or telemetry. ClipHearth does not circumvent DRM. One license covers one device.

About

ClipMe turns one long Kick, Twitch, or YouTube stream into up to 100 captioned short-form clips — and it cuts them while the stream is still live. The industry-standard workflow is polite and slow: wait for the VOD to land, run the transcript, hand the creator an unsorted pile of maybes. That workflow was designed for podcasts, and it shows.ClipMe taps the live Kick and Twitch HLS feeds and clips during the broadcast, so a streamer's highlights exist — captioned, reframed, ranked — before the stream ends. Kick has no public API for stream ingestion; most clipping tools skip the platform for exactly that reason. That ingestion layer is ClipMe's engineering moat, not a roadmap item. Detection is vision-rank, not transcript-only. Every second of a broadcast is scored across 18 proprietary signals — including chat velocity, a first-class signal most clippers ignore — and returned as a ranked shortlist of non-overlapping moments instead of an unranked dump.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Unconstrained 1080p resolution, 42.0s multi-hour parse vs 258s legacy average, zero watermark locks, and native TikTok safe-zone UI mask.
  • The clips are actually good moments, and not just loud moments like the other companies I’ve tried previously.

Cons

  • Multi-track simultaneous crowd audio demands 60s transcript pass.
  • Me personally no problems… maybe if it could stitch videos together
