Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Cheqbook is not overly complicated, but very powerful when it comes to categorizing transactions. It uses your own history and "community" history to pre-categorize transactions to speed up the process. Our business does alot of "Split" transactions and Cheqbook excels at splits. We've used Quickbook desktop and web based software, Wave accounting, Mint and Tiller (as an avid google sheets user). Quickbooks was "too much" for our small business and having to buy their software every 2 years basically turned it into a subscription model software. You can also import transactions from a csv file into different accounts, one of my biggest beefs with other platforms was the inability to import. Cons While the reporting system is pretty robust, my biggest issue is the inability to do "Comparisons" to prior periods, you have to export and do your own comparisons. I'd also like to also see a budgeting module added.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Bank feeds do most of the reconciling now so I just match what comes in each week. Once BAS time arrives I hand the figures to our accountant ready to lodge. Instead of losing a whole weekend every quarter, it takes me an afternoon. My husband checks invoices from his phone on site, and we both log in without sharing a password. When I got stuck setting up GST codes, I called support and spoke to someone in Sydney who sorted it in one call. Cons It took me a couple of weeks to get the chart of accounts set up the way our accountant wanted, and I'd have liked more guidance during setup. Some reports took a bit of digging to find at first.
