Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Let me be straightforward here: - intuitive builder; - templates library; - the possibility to create custom certificate design from scratch; - automatic certificates generation; - automatic certificates distribution; - branded email templates; - white labeled emails; - responsive customer support; - flexible pricing.
  • With Certifier, we can issue professionally-looking certificates quickly and easily. The ease of use and quick onboarding are excellent advantages in comparison with other systems we used before. The branding features, e.g. white-labeled email templates, are also fantastic.
  • Certifier dramatically simplifies the process of issuing certificates. I cannot even imagine how much time we have saved issuing certificates with Certifier compared to the solutions we used in the past. The application is easy to use and works as described. The team said that the onboarding process took less than 15 minutes. It is really impressive for a software fulfilling such functions.

Cons

  • - no native API integrations; - no possibility to “save” a group, meaning that issuing new certificates to the them group of students requires following all the steps I have already followed.
  • We would like to see more certificate management features added. For example, the Certifier's team should think of adding an option of automatically resending the certificates that have not been opened by a recipient. Sometimes our recipients experience difficulties trying to find their credentials in the inbox. The thing is that issued certificates can get lost in the spam folder, which is quite frustrating.
  • Once, we had problems uploading the list of recipients because its size was way too big. I wish Certifier’s team informed us about this in advance since we lost some time figuring out where the problem was. We are also passionately looking forward to seeing new features like API integrations and email templates builder.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I found Wauld very easy to use. It helped me create a lot of certificates and badges in a very short amount of time, which saved me a lot of effort. I also liked that it has many templates to choose from, making it easy to create different types of certificates and badges without starting from scratch.
  • Me and my office friends play badminton almost every day after work, and recently we started keeping weekly scores and small rankings just for fun. Earlier we used Google Sheets for scores and Canva for making funny badges manually every weekend. It was fun initially but later became too much manual work because someone had to check scores, design badges, export them, and send them to everyone separately. One of my friends who likes trying new tools found Wauld, and honestly it made things much easier for us. We used custom triggers with our score sheet setup and automated most of the badge issuing work. We started giving badges like “Smash King”, “Best Comeback”, “Most Dangerous Player”, etc. every week. The Design Studio was actually one of the most fun parts. We added our own player photos, badminton images, funny stickers, custom texts, and backgrounds. The layering option was very useful while designing because we could arrange elements properly and make the badges look really good instead of basic templates. The best feature for our group was the recipient portal. Earlier badges used to get lost in WhatsApp chats or folders, but now everyone can see all their badges in one place from mobile itself. People actually started competing seriously just to collect more badges.
  • We used Wauld for a college event where we had to issue over 1,000 certificates across one weekend. What could have been a stressful manual process became very manageable. The platform made it easy to prepare the certificate design, upload recipient data, issue certificates in bulk, and share them with students without having to track everything manually. The support team was also responsive whenever we had a question, which helped us move quickly during the event.
  • We issue continuing professional development badges for workshops, webinars, and conferences. Wauld handles all three seamlessly. Member engagement with credentials has tripled since we switched - people share them, display them, and ask for them by name now.
  • Wauld helped me create very colorful and fun certificates for my students from 1st to 5th class. The cartoon templates were very nice and children became very happy after receiving them. I am not from a technical background, but still I was able to design and issue certificates without much difficulty. Adding student names and issuing certificates was also fast and saved me a lot of time. I liked that I could customize the certificates according to different activities and competitions conducted in school. Another good thing is that Wauld is free for smaller issuances and use cases like mine, which was very helpful for our school activities. They also provide good discounts for non-profit organizations and educational use cases, which I really appreciated.

Cons

  • One thing I would like to see is AI integration. I think adding AI features would make the platform even better and improve the overall experience.
  • Currently there are only a few ready-made badge templates compared to the certificate templates available. Since our use case was mainly sports badges, we wanted more sports-related badge designs and elements. We contacted support regarding this and they said they are already working on adding more badge templates soon. It would also be great if Zapier integration becomes fully available because then even non-technical people can easily automate workflows without much setup. The support team mentioned it is already in beta and should be released soon.
  • There was a small learning curve at the beginning while setting up the certificate format and organizing the recipient data correctly. Once we understood the flow, the rest of the process was smooth. A few more guided setup tips for first-time bulk issuance would make the experience even better.
  • A native CPD tracker dashboard would be a great addition - we're currently managing that externally.
  • At first, it took me some time to understand all the features because Wauld has many customization options in the certificate design section and also multiple configuration options while issuing certificates. But whenever I had doubts, the help articles and support chat guided me properly and made things easier. One thing I feel can be improved is iPad support. Right now, Wauld works mainly as a web application and it is not fully comfortable to use on iPads. It would be very useful if they improve the iPad experience because people like me prefer carrying iPads everywhere as they are easy to use and convenient while working from different places.
