We built Climate TRACE to make meaningful climate action faster and easier by tracking greenhouse gas emissions with unprecedented detail, speed, and trusted independence. Climate TRACE was built to collect and share greenhouse gas emissions from anthropogenic activities to facilitate climate action. Greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation. All emissions are displayed as total carbon dioxide equivalents using 100-year equivalencies. Greenhouse gas emissions from forest clearing and fires in forests, shrublands, and savannas. Emissions are gross estimates and do not include carbon sinks. Fires subsector emissions include estimates of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide gases. All emissions are displayed as total carbon dioxide equivalents using 100-year equivalencies. We make meaningful climate action faster and easier by mobilizing the global tech community to track greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with unprecedented detail and speed.
