About

Lightr is an AI marketing platform for solopreneurs and small businesses with no in-house marketing team. It covers the full cycle in one product: analysis, strategy, content production, publishing and measurement. Paste your website or describe what you do, and Lightr analyses your market, competitors, audience and positioning, then turns that into a practical brand strategy. From there it generates campaigns in your voice: blog articles, email campaigns, social posts and original imagery. Every draft is scored before you see it, copy graded on clarity, hook and brand voice, images on composition, impact and brand fit, so you review work that has already been filtered. Approve what you want published and Lightr schedules it to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X, then tracks impressions, reach and engagement and learns from performance over time. Free plan available. Paid plans from $60 per month with unlimited seats.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • One thing that I like very much with Buffer is the ability to schedule all posts and videos across all social platforms simultaneously.
  • - User-frienndly and easy to use - Robust scheduling capabilities - Analytics that allows you to track performance of your posts across different platforms
  • Buffer is one of the most straightforward products to use. They have a free trial where I can try scheduling for different social media.
  • Best platform for scheduling your posts for social media accounts also easy to use. they have different features + they implement all my needs which I want from this app.
  • Previously we scheduled content natively in each app. I needed a way to easily manage content on multiple platforms with a number of colleagues without giving everyone publishing access.

Cons

  • I do not have any major dislikes or discomfort with this product.
  • - Basic content creation tools like the Pablo image creator that doesn't cover more sophisticated design needs, limited Analytics - Limited post customization for each platform
  • The editing is quite limited. If the photo or video has a different ratio, you might expect it to look different. Because of that, I switched to some social media native scheduling options, which is not ideal if you want to see all the posts you schedule.
  • They have high pricing also also the social media limitations.
  • The software is a good-to-go software and quite easy to understand but initially while using and implementing all the tools and functions of the software. It confused our team regarding how to go further with the advanced scheduling and post-queuing but gradually we learned the process and worked on it flawlessly

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The AI chat is central to the interface and enables access to, and control over, all aspects of the marketing items: strategy, reports, campaigns, posts, blogs, and more. As a non-marketing expert, I find it very practical to simply ask in natural language and let the AI chat handle and manage the work. It definitely helps me get up to speed quickly with the tool and its capabilities, without spending hours on tutorials or videos. In terms of performance, it can quickly and efficiently build large chunks of marketing material, including text, promotions, and images, from very little information (mainly a website and a couple of Q&As). It’s much faster than doing it manually. The strategy part and the reports are also very smart and well focused. It works well with the Linkedin connector (I haven’t tried the others). Free tokens (at start and daily) helps starting and building at first to get a clear and global view of the product.

Cons

  • It’s very fast to build an initial batch of reports, marketing campaigns, post placeholders, and similar content. That said, I sometimes feel the need to step back and have a bit more control over its findings and proposals. This is definitely possible by browsing the UI and asking the AI chat, but I’d still like that control to feel more direct. I also miss the option to generate videos, which would be very useful in some cases.
