Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It sometimes works well.
  • With the snap package its impossible to attach any files as all you see is small square boxes, no names at all. I have contacted support a couple of times and they were no help at all. The program is also extremely slow at everything, will be trying a different email client from now on.
  • It was ok, it worked well enough in general.
  • I've tried a lot of email apps and this is far and away my favorite. That's why our whole team switched to BlueMail from outlook. 1. Very clean interface across all phones and computers 2. Includes calendar and zero inbox with a kanban board! 3. The new GEM AI feature is superb, especially for replying, it's just amazing! 4. Very logical Settings menu. 5. Easy to preview and delete emails including the clusters which is perfect. 6, Configured to download and sync emails for offline viewing for 2 weeks by default but can be changed. 7. Use volume control buttons to move forwards and backwards through emails (or disable this feature). Many customizable features. 8. Automatic dark mode according to my device mode
  • It is easy to install and setup. It is also fairly easy to setup folders and sub folders to organize your mail. It is also free.

Cons

  • They have a habit of issuing "updates" that make the software completely unusable. The latest adventure: Following an update last week, every time you try to open an email, a completely random different email pops up instead of the one you selected. The good: They instantly responded to email, acknowledged the issue, and said they were prioritizing a fix. The bad: They've aggressively made it impossible to roll back to the last version, so until they get around to that fix, email is essentially unusable.
  • Inability to attach any files all I can see is squares. its a common issue with snap programs.
  • Message window does not open in it's own window like you would expect. This is a single window product so using with multiple monitors is not an option. That was how it worked when I tried it, maybe they've changed that, I did complain about it to them.
  • The only thing I'm lacking at the moment is the ability to sort the inbox by reverse order. I know not many users use it, but I find it useful sometimes. However, with the BlueMail clusters, I am able to use a similar workflow.
  • I have found a few things that could be improved. If I leave my computer running over night and BlueMail open the next day the whole computer is pretty much brought to a stand still. A reboot is needed to solve the speed problem. It does not have its own spelling checker. Some functions are extremely slow, such as moving an email from inbox to a specific folder. Trying to get your pointer on the small sidebar to move your folders up and down is VERY difficult.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • That i didn't end up having to pay for their horrid "customer service". There's not many other positives, honestly.
  • Yahoo! Mail is the first electronic mail platform I ever used, I use to get emails, newsletters and attachment easily with no stress, sending emails was indeed fast, it doesn't consume lots of data and it was highly secured. It was indeed reliable back in the days.
  • It used to be good. Umm. It's free.
  • - The platform is easy to get started and use. - It is available on all the platforms. - Searching mails and bookmarking them is easy and a quite useful feature. - Photos, documents and media files can be sent as an attachment. - The sign-up process is easy and pretty straightforward.
  • - Yahoo has one of the easiest to use user interface among any email client tool. - It allows the user to sign in and use multiple professional and personal accounts at once. - There is a large amount of customization available in the tool. - The user support is quick and helpful.

Cons

  • You have to PAY for customer service in order to get back into your account. they are RUDE. They take SO LONG before answering the phone (10+ minutes). You end up NOT being able to get into your account. POS company.
  • It has been years since I logged in to Yahoo! Mail only to find out that the platform layout is still quite old. Attachments are often slow while uploading/sending.
  • After 15 or so years I'm looking for another email client. It's impossible to re-sign up with Email contacts that I have in my contacts list after Yahoo blocked them on their own even though they are in my contacts list... They just stopped allowing them through about a couple of months ago. I subscribe to other newsletters (In my contacts list) They mark as spam and they acknowledge that's the newsletters are in my contacts list. I have to click "It's safe" Every day. I no longer get the newsletters I subscribe to regarding 3D modeling. They block your contacts and show you the finger when you try to get them whitelist again. Aside from that it's okay.
  • - The user interface of the application very outdated. - There are pre rolled pop ads on the landing page.
  • - The sidebar has a lot of ads and pop-ups that can be a distraction while reading emails.
