Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros 1. It is one of the best version controlling tool in terms of ease of use. 2. The user interface of the application is user-friendly. 3. Raising PRs is easy and quick. 4. It gets easily integrated with other Atlassian tools like JIRA. 5. Branches can be easily created with just few clicks. 1. The code can be reviewed easily on Bitbucket, with lots of useful features. 2. It has a great user interface which makes the platform easy to use. 3. It sends dedicated email after every commit and merge for tracking. 4. Not only that, but it can be easily integrated with other Atlassian applications like Jira. - all the tools I need for a source code storage for my data analysis projects - ideal for small teams: free tier was enough to work with a couple of collaborators, private repos are included - CI/CD tools are useful to automate some work, i.e. publish html pages on an external website after committing changes - Bitbucket has a very convenient GIT GUI program for managing repositories - It enables a smooth workflow environment for the developer working in the team by providing features code review before pushing it. - Managing the code and different branches is an easy task with Bit Bucket. - It can be easily connected to other application like VS Code and Jira for feature enhancement and increase productivity increment. - Bit bucket is extremely easy to configure and integrate with other apps. - It is easy to use and cost-effective. - The repositories are safe and secure. Cons 1. It only allows repositories up to 2 GB, which be low sometimes for big projects. 1. It does not have a built-in CI/CD pipeline feature. 2. The pricing is on a bit higher side. - Bitbucket is not the most popular GIT-repository, so I can imagine that it may not be a best fit for someone who wants to grow a software start-up. - The interface should be more customizable. - The community is not large. - The SSH key management on Bit bucket is confusing.
