Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Lexcheck's AI system is best in the industry, using real AI technology (developed by a team of lawyers and linguists) to review and mark-up contracts according to your organisation's unique playbook within minutes. What we especially like about LexCheck is its ability to surgically amend clauses within contracts (as opposed to replacing existing wording with your organisation's preferred wording) all within minutes. LexCheck has since cut down the time our organisation's legal team reviewing and editing NDAs by 77% with the average turnaround time from beginning of review to sending Legal's comments back being less than 7 minutes. What we also find impressive and the killer feature of LexCheck is LexCheck *does not* rely on *hundreds* of samples of *one* document type in order to develop their AI system *unlike* every other AI contract review competitor in the market. Instead, they needed only *20 to 25 samples* of a contract type and only *5 samples* of each specific playbook rule to build out our AI system, regardless of the nichness or complexity of the document type or playbook rule. This made LexCheck's AI system vastly superior to other competitors our organisation has explored who either rely either on human attorneys to actually do the review/editing (which, anecotally speaking, may result in up to a week's turnaround time and fundamentally does not differ from a third party legal service provider solution) or machine learning (which require hundreds of samples of one type of document and playbook rule in order to develop their "AI" system). As our organisation's contracts are highly specialised and unique to its industry, the fact that LexCheck only requires 25 document samples and 5 samples for each playbook rule was vastly more preferable for our AI contract review solution. This is especially more so when we update our playbooks to comply with new regulation/industry standards whereby LexCheck only requires 5 samples (not hundreds) of how the new playbook rule should operate to update the AI system. Lastly, the team at LexCheck is fantastic and a dream to work with. They're professional, understanding, capable and efficient and have delivered and are delivering upon the expectations we required of them for our AI contract review solution. They've developed and implemented numerous improvements to the AI system since we've started development, and they keep us up to date on what's on the roadmap for improvements and fixes regularly. They have also provided our organisation end-to-end support with the roll-out of the AI system to the legal team with a planned rollout to the rest of the Business for self-service.

Cons

  • The LexCheck team has mostly addressed developing points with our AI system since we've started development and roll-out. Minor points are limited to the occasional formatting errors which are on their roadmap to be resolved.
