About

Calendar is an app from Apple that comes standard on iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. Calendar from Apple integrates with Apple Mail and can be used as a calendar, and for scheduling.

About

Forgot is a browser-based team calendar for engineering managers and team leads coordinating planned time off, on-call rotations, project work, public holidays and release dates. Managers can add people and events, organize views by team, office, time zone or custom fields, mark tentative dates, and flag when someone is away during a release or code freeze. Teams can submit availability through a link without creating accounts; read-only calendars can be shared or embedded, and weekly email summaries and weekday Slack posts help keep colleagues informed. Calendar feeds can be subscribed to from Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. The optional Mac menu-bar app shows who is away and supports calendar edits. Forgot is designed for coordination rather than HR leave administration and does not track PTO balances or accruals.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Apple Calendar is an essential platform when it comes to managing dates within your iPhone mobile device. The things I liked about this platform were: 1- It is a very complete platform when it comes to the administration and management of new events, since it has all the necessary functions to add a new event to the calendar and have constant reminders within it, this application allows you to add a new event including the date and time of each event, allows you to add notes for each event, allows you to add a number of specific reminders and much more, it really has all the necessary functions to manage a new event. 2- Apple Calendar works in real time, which helps a lot since it updates the date of your mobile device in the background, this means that you will be able to see the exact date of the day you are on just by viewing the application icon , it is not necessary to access it to be able to view the exact date you are on. 3- The festive dates for each country are automatically registered within App Calendar when you first configure your mobile device, this is very important since you do not have to add the festive dates that are celebrated in your country within Apple Calendar. 4- Each of the events that you add within Apple Calendar can be linked to your email account or your iCloud account, this is very important since when you want to add this email account or the iCloud account within from another device, all these dates, events and planning is what you have done recently, will be imported to the new mobile device automatically.
  • Apple Calendar is a very essential application on all iPhone devices, this platform has really made it possible for me to have a correct reminder service and a perfect calendar service. The main things I like about this platform is that it allows me to fully manage all events for any date, with the push of a button to add a new event, put a custom name to that event, put a custom location, put the date and start time as well as the nation date and time, but I can also select an option that the event will last a whole day, I can set custom alerts for each of the events, to make it easy to see these alerts for specific events, In addition, I can also add notes to each event, and I can link that event with any of the email accounts that you have linked to my mobile device, so that it is automatically saved in that inbox and I can access these events from other devices . Another positive aspect of this platform with an automatic recognition service for festive dates, the application automatically detects the country where you are located in real time, and automatically shows the festive dates that are within that country, in addition, another thing that makes me What I love about this platform is the excellent design that it has in general, it is a fairly basic design, which does not have such bright colors and which helps a lot to promote comfort within the platform, in addition, it helps to have a correct mobilization within from the platform, I can configure new events, and much more without presenting any kind of confusion.

Cons

  • I have never presented any type of failure when using Apple Calendar, all the events that I have registered within this calendar have been fully accessible from the iCloud functions on my computer and from my mobile device, all the events I have been able to plan correctly within Apple Calendar, I consider that this platform does not have any type of failures and therefore not to mention in any type of Advantages about it, since all the functions and characteristics of Apple Calendar are very positive for any user.
  • Within this platform I have not had any type of problem, I have always been able to customize new events, in addition, I have always been able to manage my calendar completely, this platform has never given me any type of failure since I started using it about five years ago years, Apple Calendar has behaved wonderfully, access to this application is completely satisfactory, in addition, you can use the application on your mobile device by accessing the iCloud platform within the web version, in the same way you will have access to all your events linked to your iCloud account.
