About

AWS DevOps Agent is a software from Amazon Web Services (AWS) designed to act as an autonomous, always-on operations engineer that resolves and proactively prevents incidents across your infrastructure, applications, and deployments. It automatically learns your application resources and their relationships, including infrastructure, code repositories, deployment pipelines, observability tools, and telemetry, then uses that knowledge to correlate logs, metrics, traces, deployment data, and recent code changes. When an alert, error spike, or support ticket arises, DevOps Agent immediately begins automated investigation; it triages incidents 24/7, runs root-cause analysis, and proposes detailed mitigation plans which can be automatically routed through team workflows (e.g., via Slack, ServiceNow, PagerDuty) or directly create support cases with AWS.

About

OrbOps AI is an agentic infrastructure operations platform for DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Cloud, and Security teams. O2 AI uses specialized AI agents to coordinate and automate workflows across CI/CD, releases, incidents, on-call, infrastructure, Kubernetes, security, access governance, provisioning, observability, and FinOps. The platform brings together context from source code, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, security, identity, and cost-management systems to help teams investigate issues, prepare deployment plans, correlate alerts, understand dependencies, and automate repetitive operations. OrbOps AI follows an Observe → Reason → Plan → Approve → Act → Verify model, combining agentic automation with human and policy controls for critical infrastructure actions. It is designed to work with existing DevOps ecosystems including GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PagerDuty, and Jira.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • - Cuts down significantly on manual ops toil — routine tasks that used to need hands-on intervention are now handled with much less effort - Access management is noticeably faster — fewer manual approval bottlenecks compared to a ticket-and-wait process - FinOps visibility is built into the same platform, so you're not stitching together a separate cost-management tool - Repo-to-production deployment is dramatically faster — takes our GitHub repo to our AWS cloud in about 45 minutes, and has cut client onboarding from days down to roughly 60 minutes from repo to live production Good fit for teams running AWS/GCP/Kubernetes/Terraform/ who want AIOps and DevOps Agents consolidated rather than fragmented across tools

Cons

  • Rewards a bit of ramp-up time like any automation platform, it takes a short adjustment period to get comfortable trusting the automated actions, but that trust builds quickly with use and They're still building out its ecosystem as a newer platform, the surrounding community and integrations are growing, with more third-party resources expected as adoption increases
