About

CORS stands for Cross-Origin Resource Sharing. The Fantasy Nerds API does not currently support CORS. Virtually every user who has requested CORS support has intended to use it within a Javascript client-side application. Submitting an Ajax call through Javascript can expose your API key to whoever views the page source which is in direct violation of our terms and conditions. Exposing your API key via a publicly-accessible website would allow someone viewing the source code to obtain your key and make (and potentially abuse) API calls using your key. Many of our static services like NFL teams and NFL Bye Weeks will only change once per season, it's not necessary to continually call the same service repeatedly as the data returned isn't changing. Even rankings and projections are typically only updated once or twice a day. We recommend that you cache the results locally. Caching has the added benefit of making your application faster.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The FantasyNerds.com API is hands down one of the best fantasy football data sources I've worked with. The endpoints are clean, fast, and well-documented, making integration straightforward even for complex fantasy apps. What I really appreciate is the depth and accuracy of the data - from player projections and rankings to depth charts and news updates. Everything updates in real-time, so you're always working with fresh, reliable information. That's a huge edge when building tools for drafts, waiver wire pickups, or weekly lineup optimization. The performance is excellent. I've seen consistently quick response times and zero downtime throughout the season. On top of that, the support team is responsive and genuinely helpful, which gives you confidence when building your fantasy platform around it. In short: if you're developing a fantasy football app, bot, or custom league tool, the FantasyNerds API is the gold standard. It's powerful, easy to use, and built by people who clearly understand what fantasy players need.
  • I use their API with my WordPress website. I literally just have to put a shortcode in and they populate rankings, projections, lineups, depth charts, schedules, and a ton more for my fantasy football, baseball, and basketball site. I can focus on writing my content and the tools portion is automatically updated by them. I love this and my users do too.

Cons

  • I ended up subscribing to all three sports (NFL, MLB, and NBA) but not at the same time. They offer a discount if you purchase all three at the same time. I started with the NFL API first, but when I went to add the others, the discount was no longer available. It would be nice if they added that.
  • No real cons to speak of. The only complaint I kind of have is that they offer a discount if you buy all three sports but only if you buy them at the same time. I bought the baseball sub a few months later and they didn't have a way to give me a discount. Granted, it wasn't a big discount and it wasn't a big deal to me but it would be nice if we decide to buy a sport later.
