About
2dto3D is a web-based AI service that turns a product photo into an interactive 3D model. Users upload a clear image, and its generation pipeline creates additional views before building a textured mesh. Each model can be explored in an interactive viewer, displayed at real scale in augmented reality, embedded on a website, and exported in GLB, GLTF, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, STL, or 3MF formats. The service also creates four product packshots per model. Its API and MCP server let developers and AI-agent users initiate generations and retrieve model links; 3D assets can also be imported into tools such as Blender, Unity, and Unreal Engine. E-commerce merchants are the primary audience, with additional uses in game development, AR/VR, film and animation, product design, and 3D printing.

About
Copilot 3D is an experimental, AI-powered tool available in Microsoft’s Copilot Labs that enables users to convert a single 2D photo (JPG or PNG, max 10 MB) into a fully rendered 3D model (GLB format) without any prior experience. Designed for creative simplicity, it makes 3D generation accessible, requiring only an image upload and returning a downloadable 3D output. The tool is globally available at no extra cost to anyone with a personal Microsoft account, and the resulting models support applications like game design, animation, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, as well as digital content creation. While Copilot 3D excels at rendering common inanimate objects, like furniture or everyday items, it often performs poorly with complex subjects such as animals or human figures. The system includes guardrails that prevent the modeling of copyrighted or sensitive imagery, and it stores creations for 28 days.
