Zotero Reference

Zotero Reference is an open-source Zotero plugin that extracts and organizes bibliographic references from academic PDF documents. It displays identified references in a floating panel alongside the PDF reader. The software retrieves citation information from document contents or external services such as Crossref, Semantic Scholar, arXiv, and ReadPaper. Researchers can copy bibliographic details, open associated links, and edit reference information. Selected references can be added directly to Zotero collections with bidirectional relationships to the original paper. The plugin supports configurable reference retrieval and cached results. It also provides split-view navigation for following document links without losing the current reading position. Integration with Zotero PDF Translate extends its reading capabilities.
