The extensible web spider (Xpider) is Joomla! component that tries to make the crawling of external webpages possible for you.

It is possible to create a Spider and give it some Tasks (data to find) and some Seeds (web addresses) to search on. The Spider's Finding (the result of finding the tasks) is possible to link to a database.
