WgServer for Windows, also known as WS4W, is a Windows desktop application for running and managing a WireGuard server endpoint. It was created to simplify the process of setting up WireGuard on Windows without requiring users to manually edit the registry, run scripts, or configure every networking step through Control Panel. The application can install WireGuard for Windows, generate or accept server keys, create server configuration files, and help manage the Windows networking pieces needed for internet sharing. It is designed for Windows Server and Windows desktop environments where a graphical setup flow is preferred over command-line configuration. The tool still requires users to handle network realities such as router port forwarding, but it reduces much of the local setup friction. It is especially useful for small Windows-based VPN deployments that need WireGuard server management without moving to Linux.
