Teletext-style subtitle extractor for DVR-MS and WTV files. Subtitles are parsed into the SubRip (srt) format.

Does NOT parse ATSC/USA styled closed captions, or bitmap style DVB subtitles.

Its intended use is for Australian television recordings, although it may work for others.

As of version 0.9.6, there is experimental support for languages other than English that are based on the Latin alphabet. This must be manually set for it to work. Greek should also be supported, and is available as a separate download.

Features

  • Colour tags can be added, if desired
  • A constant delay can also be added to all subtitles
  • Customized colour values can be specified for each teletext colour

User Reviews

  • Amazing program, works perfectly on Australian TV. The console program works well and allows scripting input to automate the software. Look forward to more features and improvements in the future. Steffen www.ovalis.com.au
