SubFlow v1.2.0 - ALMARFELD

Translate subtitle tracks with a local Ollama model or an explicitly selected cloud provider. Read embedded/sidecar text subtitles and optional PGS OCR; review results and export new MKV or subtitle copies. Batch queue, glossary, cache and editor support library workflows. Originals are not modified. No videos, subtitle samples, models or user profiles are distributed.

Installation

Self-contained Windows 10/11 x64 installer and portable ZIP. No separate .NET or WebView2 required.

Run the per-user installer, or extract the entire portable ZIP and run SubFlow.exe. Keep packaged files together. FFmpeg/FFprobe are required separately for video processing. Local translation needs Ollama and a model; dependency setup requires explicit confirmation.

Windows binaries are not Authenticode signed and Windows may show a reputation warning. Download only from official ALMARFELD/GitHub links or this verified mirror. Do not disable Windows security.

Limitations and safety

AI translation and OCR can be wrong: review results. Output checks do not certify every word or hash every media packet. FFmpeg/FFprobe are separate requirements; local translation needs Ollama and a model. MKVToolNix and Windows OCR languages are optional. Setup downloads require confirmation. Cloud engines send subtitle text after consent and may charge; video/audio are not uploaded. No telemetry. Optional GitHub update check is off by default.
