Skorpion OS is a privacy-focused, AI-native Linux distribution (and philosophy), built for developers, privacy enthusiasts and everyday users who want local artificial intelligence as a core part of their operating system, without giving up control.

At its heart is SKAI (Skorpion AI), a fully offline AI subsystem powered by Ollama, with qwen2.5 as the default model. No cloud. No telemetry. Your data never leaves your machine. The AI works with you, not in your place, and if you don't want it, you can remove it with a single click.

Based on Debian, Skorpion OS 3.5 comes in two editions: Cinnamon, the recommended starting point, and Lite, a minimal i3 environment with Kitty terminal and a built-in shortcut guide. Both share a cohesive dark aesthetic and install easily with Calamares.

SKAI is woven into the whole system: the SKAI Wizard sets up Ollama and lets you choose a lighter model for older hardware, that integrates with various plugins in the system.
