  • Scrollout F1, an open-source email security solution, is designed to protect email servers from spam, viruses, malware, and other threats that can be transmitted via email. A complete arrangement incorporates spam sifting, antivirus examining, IP notoriety separating, and other email security highlights. The ease of use of Scrollout F1 is one of its primary advantages. Customers can easily design and manage their email security settings thanks to the product's straightforward and simple online connection point. Additionally, due to its support for the SMTP, POP3, and IMAP email protocols, Scrollout F1 is compatible with a wide range of email clients and servers. The high-level security elements of Scrollout F1 are one more benefit. The item consolidates an extent of solid security instruments, for instance, antivirus checking, spam isolating, and IP reputation filtering, and that is just a glimpse of something larger. In addition, Scrollout F1 can be integrated with other security tools, such as firewalls and interruption location frameworks, to provide a significantly stronger defence against threats posed by email. Furthermore, Scrollout F1 is profoundly adjustable. The product can be custom-made to fit an extensive variety of email security use cases since clients can modify its way of behaving and settings to meet their particular necessities. Additionally, because Scrollout F1 is open-source, users can personalize and modify the software's code to include any necessary new functions or features. In any case, it's important to note that Scrollout F1 may not be as robust or feature-rich as other email security solutions. It is plausible that the product doesn't follow all of the latest email conventions and security principles, and its customization choices might be restricted in contrast with those of different choices. In general, Scrollout F1 is a comprehensive and extremely useful email security solution that gives users access to a wide range of advanced security features and customization options. It is a great option for users who need to protect their email servers and clients from spam, viruses, and other threats that are transmitted via email. However, users should be aware of its limitations and think about other options for more complex email security requirements.

  • Even if installation was made in 2018, totally valid for 2022. Was able to setup in hours due to some pieces of software does not come with Debian9. Switched from commercial filtering to Scrollout & it was an unbelievable experience. With few tweaking it is catching almost all spam & I still cannot believe this. Spam training is very quick & it works as it says. Appliance does not installing & I installed Debian9 installed software separately according to guide. Thanks @mariusegologan
  • Hi guys! This software is awesome...
  • I have a few virtual machines running ScrollOut F1 for years. In general, the product works ok as described, no issues with installation nor operation. I have nice script to easy duplicate the configuration. Why multiple installations? Often we have incoming email bursts and the server IP address is flagged, limiting the ability to check RBL and other services. I noticed some complains about features not working: they are not part of the products, third party need third party support! This is a nice integration frontend, dealing with a complex internal configuration. This is not for the DIY unless your have some Linux, Debian or Ubuntu experience.

  • Hi guys, This project is awsome ; nothing to envy to SMG (Brightmail) and others dinosaurs ... Free of charge and ... Marius is The Man!!! Thanks again for this tremendous job of Yours!! Gregory PS: Just two changes, DKIM accepts 1024 bits (my registrar ...) and compelled to use port 636 to bind with AD ; otherwise a modification for ldap in the config file.
  • Very good. Thank for all
  • Scrollout does a good job of blocking unwanted emails. It's an easy deploy and can be secured with certificates with a little effort. I would like to see the ability to send encrypted emails in the future. If you're looking for a good email gateway, definitely give this a look. It will be well worth your time.

  • Great project. Just some documentation would be great...
  • Nice project !
  • Awesome Anti-Spam Filter! Works Great! Relatively easy to configure and since it requires very little hardware spec to operate, it works perfectly on AWS free tier. Very very happy with the quality of work and design.
  • Works great. First things first, this product works great. In the initial period I had a minor work doing some HAM and SPAM training, but even then the few items that were incorrectly classified were easily remedied and no messages were lost/blocked. If you plan not to use the recommended ISO install method, then the installation documentation leaves a bit to be desired as it is not the most up to date. But I have tried many other products out there and by comparison this one is the easiest to get going with the best features. I just rented a cheap VPS (must be KVM based not OpenVZ), fired up Debian 8 and followed the instructions. It was pretty easy. Yes a base understanding of Linux is needed, but if you have that and need a great SPAM engine I say give it a go. I was previously using Inumbo for antispam, but they changed their pricing and free tier structures (without notice) essentially crippling the antispam I was using and causing about 50% of SPAM to get through. I like their service and was considering buying licenses with them before they did this shady move. Now I have my own hosted antispam for only the cost of a cheap KVM server. I got a 1GB KVM VPS through speedykvm for about 4 a month. Aside from that I only paid for a donation to the Scrollout cause via PayPal. Great stuff.
  • Scrolloutf1 is a super tool. Due to the fact that it is free there is nothing to complain about. A big compliment to the developer. A multi-user environment would be a point-widening and possibly a domain-based filtering but to make it clear again that it is a praise to the ENtwickler. Hats off for your performance. Scrolloutf1 is a super tool !!!
  • Scrollout F1 is a really excellent solution that makes it simple to have many high-end filtering options. The results are very impressive - very accurate. Thanks for a great tool. Please keep at it.
  • I've installed Scrollout F1 on two machines for our clients, all the spam has gone. Super easy install procedure on Debian, 100% accurate and great results. Thank you Marius! Multumim!
  • Sat with Marius an entire day trying to make the most of a test install for the systems I am managing. The level of support is more than great and even though I ended up on this project by chance and made no promises Marius was there all the time (even went in and set up a few things for me directly). Tried to install it on Ubuntu 16.04 first but installing Scrollout F1 on any other distro but Debian is no longer supported thus my first attempt failed. After contacting Marius I've went in and installed Debian 8.6 then just used the installation tutorial for a clean install, with no hustle. During my long conversation with the creator and maintainer of this project I have realized that the main purpose of the project is to be as simple as possible to set up, having the back end system do all the heavy work (the routines behind it are installed automatically and they just to their job; all one has to do is to decide on the level of spam blocking they need and tell the system to apply it); I will actually quote Marius "this system needs to behave like a radio: you turn the thing on and adjust the volume; you don't go behind the radio to mess with it". Long story short, in our days, where most free tools reaching a certain maturity go for the money, having such complete tool install itself and be ready to serve is a great thing. Combine it with a great level of support and willingness to develop it even further and you get Scrollout F1. As a down side, I find the application a bit restrictive as it only installs (and has support for) Debian plus the online documentation could be more complete (hah! this is a one man project which actually works even the lack of online documentation can be overlooked in the end). I hope you find this review helpful and you'd give this software a chance (I am not paid to write this, I am just one of the 3000+ clients using it).
  • Kudo's to Marius for his efforts on maintaining a free anti-spam gateway for the world. I endorsed this project with a donation as in the hope he can keep doing this for free! When installing the latest image, it got stuck for days on the simple-cdd install, but if you install a OOTB debian 8 environment, you can download the package and it will install just fine. Hope it will be maintained for a long time! Have it running for a bit now, and it works flawless! Love it!
  • Easy to install and best app to stop spam.
  • very good project
  • Excellent tool !!!
  • We've been using ScrolloutF1 for quite some years now, and it has always proven stable. It's the best mail gateway we've used to date, still beats most of the commercial products around and most certainly beats the open source projects in ease of use and features. Only one thing I can see can be improved is the GUI, it does what it's supposed to, but it's a bit heavy. But that does not draw the product down. All the features included makes ScrolloutF1 the obvious choice for any private/company needing a mail gateway solution to clear out all the spam/virus/scam that comes to your inbox.
  • Excellent appliance to snap into any environment. Easy to setup/use yet you can still get well "under the hood" and go advanced if you want to.
