WiFi Password is a small Bash utility for quickly retrieving the password of a known wireless network on macOS. Running it without arguments returns the password for the currently connected Wi-Fi network. Users can instead supply an SSID to look up credentials for a specific saved network. The output is plain text, so it can be piped directly into tools such as the macOS clipboard command. Installation options historically included Homebrew, bpkg, Antigen, Zgen, or downloading the shell script directly. The project is intentionally minimal and does not provide a graphical interface or broader network-management features. It is mainly useful as a convenient terminal shortcut for credentials already stored on the user’s Mac.
