PowerRemoteDesktop is a remote desktop solution written completely in PowerShell. It implements both server and viewer (client) components using a custom protocol written in PowerShell, allowing remote control of desktops (mouse, keyboard), clipboard synchronization, cursor icon replication etc. It uses encrypted communication (TLS), supports both password-challenge and certificate-based authentication, and strives to offer an end-to-end remote desktop experience using only PowerShell. It’s intended for Windows systems and tested on recent versions.

- Remote control: keyboard input, mouse movement/clicks/wheel from client to server
- Secure communications via TLS (v1.2/v1.3 etc.), with support for custom X509 certificates or default ones
- Authentication: both challenge-based password or certificate fingerprint verification options
- Clipboard synchronization between remote and local systems
- Multi-screen support and cursor icon synchronization, view-only mode also available; optimization to reduce network traffic (only send changed regions)
