I've attempted to use this editor several times over the past few years to no avail. Either the app keeps crashing (even when the source files are in the same directory as output) or it does not render. rendering also takes for just about EVER (typically 6 hours for a 1 hour resultant mpeg). But more often than not the render hangs at 1 second remaining with NO output (output.mpeg=0kb). Use Open Shot instead. it also sometimes hangs as well so save frequently. But at least it restarts ok (unlike Piviti). and rendering is much faster (typically one hour per each hour viewable). one then needs to make an iso out of the exported file. I use DeVeDe for that. Note that both of these pretty much follow a conventional timeline similar to most video editors.
