PeekESP is a cross-platform system monitoring tool that brings remote system metrics to Android home-screen widgets, dedicated ESP32 desk displays, Raspberry Pi screens, desktop hosts, and Home Assistant. It allows you to monitor CPU, memory, storage, temperature, uptime, and network throughput seamlessly across multiple devices. Operating through a lightweight Cloudflare Worker relay with zero accounts or complex port-forwarding required, PeekESP uses simple local pairing codes to connect agents and viewers securely. It supports Windows, Linux/DietPi, macOS, and Android, letting you keep tabs on your hardware effortlessly.
Features
- Cross-Platform Monitoring: Track your system metrics seamlessly across Android apps and home-screen widgets, dedicated ESP32 desk displays, Raspberry Pi screens, Home Assistant, and desktop hosts (Windows, Linux/DietPi, macOS).
- Comprehensive Metrics: Real-time visibility into CPU usage, memory (RAM), storage capacity, core temperature, system uptime, and network throughput.
- Zero-Port-Forwarding Relay: Powered by a Cloudflare Worker relay where both ends only ever dial out, meaning no accounts, no complex port forwarding, and no VPNs are required
- Secure Local Pairing: Uses simple local pairing codes to automatically derive streams and tokens locally, ensuring the relay never sees your pairing secrets.
- Flexible Hardware Options: Out-of-the-box support for the TTGO T-Display (ESP32), alternative panels (like GC9A01 round, ILI9341, and ST7789), and Raspberry Pi displays (including OLED, e-paper, 16x2 LCD, and LED matrix).
- Home Assistant Integration: Easily integrate via HACS to view machine sensors and trigger display actions (like refresh, identify, wake, standby, or reboot) directly from Home Assistant.
- Interactive On-Device Controls: Physical buttons on the ESP32 let you swipe between machines, check the built-in clock, view power stats, adjust backlight brightness, or toggle standby mode.
- Power & Battery Tracking: A dedicated power screen displays the ESP32's own battery voltage and charge state alongside the battery level of your monitored machine.
