PadVolt — Gamepad to Keyboard Mapper for Windows

Turn any gamepad into a keyboard & mouse. PadVolt maps your PlayStation (DualShock 4 / DualSense), Xbox or any generic controller to keyboard keys and mouse actions — so you can play games that don't support controllers, and control any Windows app with a pad. Driver-free, portable, free and open source (MIT).

Download

PadVolt-v1.0.0-win64.zip — Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit), portable, ~2 MB, no installer.

  1. Download and unzip anywhere.
  2. Keep SDL2.dll next to PadVolt.exe (same folder).
  3. Run PadVolt.exe, plug in your controller, and play.
  4. Press F8 to toggle mapping on / off any time.

If Windows SmartScreen appears ("Windows protected your PC"), click More info → Run anyway — the app is unsigned, which is normal for small free tools.

Features

  • Map any gamepad to keyboard keys and mouse actions
  • Works with PlayStation (DualShock 4, DualSense), Xbox and generic USB / Bluetooth pads
  • D-pad & left stick → W A S D, face buttons → jump / interact, triggers → mouse clicks
  • Global F8 hotkey to toggle mapping instantly
  • No drivers, no installer — tiny portable app
  • Free and open source (MIT), no ads, no telemetry

Great for

Games and apps with no controller support: old & indie games, strategy / MOBA / MMO, idle & clicker games, browser games, emulators and retro classics.
