At first a happy new year and thanks to david for this great piece of software!
I'm currently moving my workstations from mac os x to linux and pac seems to be the best alternative to ZOC (even if the scp functions are missing ;-)).
I running currently into some issues with the keyboard shortcuts (like ALT + E for editing or STRG + D for cloning a connection). Non is working on my Ubuntu 11.10 (64bit, Unity and Gnome3) installation (tested on 3 different workstations). At an Debian 6.0 installation everything seems to work fine, but two of my workstations have issues with newer hardware, ubuntu is from this side the better solution.
The ALT and CTRL keys seem to be completely ignored, at the connection editor every key press results in a character entry for the search/filter function of the explorer.
Is this an issue of unity/gnome3 or is there anything else to be changed to get the shortcuts working?

Well, I have not fully tested PAC under Ubuntu 11.10 with neither Unity nor Gnome3 (but the necessary to know that it *just works*), so, I have no idea on what the problem may be.
I'll check it!

First of all - congrat, well done and thx for sharing this great application.
Very well written and organized.
I just encountered the same problem on Linux Mint 12 (using Mate and not Gnome3) where he ALT and CTRL keys seem to be completely ignored, at the connection editor every key press results in a character entry for the search/filter function of the explorer.
You mentioned it does work on your side: can u please let me know on which OS and what is the libvte version you are using?

I have no idea what the problem with CTRL and ATL may be… I never had that behaviour… I'll keep an eye on it.

I use Ubuntu 10.10, and I plan to migrate to 12.04 ASA it comes out. I'll recompile then and share my usability experience of PAC with it (it should be the same…).
Thanks a lot to every body trying PAC!!!!

Hey David,
Hope you are well :)
It seems 12.04 is our now, are you planning to test the latest PAC version and see if the keyboard shortcut works for you?
Unfortunately i didn't have any luck on 11.10 - i'll also give it a try and see how it goes.
Cheers,
Dani
