Overreacted.io is the open-source codebase for Dan Abramov’s personal technical blog. The current version is built with Next.js, React, and a static-export architecture that generates the site ahead of deployment. Posts are stored as Markdown with frontmatter and processed into rich pages with custom rendering behavior. Individual articles can include specialized React components and executable or enhanced code examples. The site uses Tailwind CSS, syntax highlighting, automatic heading links, RSS feed generation, and custom theme variables. Post discovery and static route generation are handled directly inside the application code. The repository serves both as a publishing system and as a reference implementation for a highly customized developer-focused static blog.
