Blog is the open-source codebase that powers Guillermo Rauch’s personal website and technical writing at rauchg.com. The current project is built with Next.js and uses React and TypeScript components for its layout and interface. Blog content is written with MDX so posts can combine Markdown prose with interactive or custom React components. Custom fonts, analytics, navigation, headers, footers, and post-specific styling are maintained directly in the application. Earlier versions organized posts as independently code-split pages, allowing individual articles to use custom layouts without increasing every page’s bundle. Vercel tooling handles local development, staging, and production deployment. The repository therefore serves both as a real publishing application and as an example of a highly customized developer blog architecture.
