I have used this app since the early days of Classic and have (or had) it running on Windows 7, 10, and 11. It can be quirky occasionally as the developers try to stay ahead of Microsoft changes. I appreciate their generous efforts to keep this application alive. Update December 2024: Although I was having no problems, I installed the latest update when notified by Source Forge. I love this program and appreciate that it is being maintained. Many options for customizing and an easy fallback to the default Windows if needed.

I have used OpenShell and before that ClassicShell for many years, on Win 7 and Win 10. The program has been invaluable as it allows me to customise my Start menu to my preference. I have never experienced any stability issues. I have never required support.

I also hate the Windows 10 menu. Therefore, I happy to have found Open-Shell which gives me back a perfectly working menu in Windows 7 style.
