oh-my-git

oh-my-git is an opinionated Git-aware terminal prompt for Bash and Zsh. It displays repository state through compact visual symbols so developers can understand changes without repeatedly running Git status commands. Indicators can represent untracked files, additions, deletions, modifications, staged changes, tags, and readiness to commit. The project ships with multiple themes and supports fonts containing additional terminal glyphs. Symbols and colors can be overridden through shell configuration variables. It supports straightforward Bash installation, Zsh integration through Antigen, and per-repository disabling when prompt calculations become undesirable.
