Tool for automated backup of NOTD game (SC2 mod)

v1.2 -> Added option to check complete player stats

A word on how to integrate with Dropbox. I will not integrate tool with Dropbox, as the effort outweighs benefit - you can configure backup using Dropbox tools yourself.

Put the destination directory of tool to Dropbox directory e.g. assuming "c:\Users\user1\Dropbox" is Dropbox directory, place it to e.g. "c:\Users\user1\Dropbox\SaveGameBackup\NOTD_Backup", and include it for sync with Dropbox.

Also, when on matter, you can backup your complete SC2 bank files. For that you need to place Dropbox directory on same drive as the where the SC2 bank files are created, then just make a junction:
Code:
c:\Users\user1\Dropbox\SaveGameBackup>mklink /J StarCraft2Banks "c:\Users\user1\Documents\StarCr
aft II\Accounts"
Junction created for StarCraft2Banks <<===>> c:\Users\user1\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts

c:\Users\user1\Dropbox\SaveGameBackup>

User Reviews

  • That's a nice tool, but it in it's current state this program won't really help in case of HDD failure(unless it's used in a combination with dropbox, or external device is used as an output directory), so i suggest you to add an option of sending bankfile as an e-mail. And please make it stay in tray at least when it's monitoring, because it just disappeared so i had to use task manager to kill it. Some sort of "readme" would be nice as well (at least for change log)
