User Reviews

  • Based on Manjaro ;-)
  • I've been using the /release/19.01/Xfce/namib-xfce-1901_x86_64.iso for the last couple of months and I have to say it's been a pleasure! The XFCE Calamares replace a partition (encrypted) worked flawlessly to my 25 GB msdos partition and in no time I was booting into a beautifully themed desktop. And heck, here it comes with Pamac-Aur already installed too! Compared to some distro's out there that try to have a well working OS for people to trust and use daily, (one's that don't show up on the distrowatch website that are based on arch as an example) this one performs superior! Being XFCE, you can customise it till the cows come home or stick with the default themes. Any noob who would want to have a taste of the Arch without the pain of the install until you get your feet firmly planted into the Linux world I would highly recommend this one to put on your "must try list". Once your feet are planted you can have 3 or 4 distro's going at the same time to test like some of us but Namib is one that I am going to be backing up and hanging onto for a long time thanks to Clonezilla. Again, thanks Meerkatsoftware for your hard work and I'm sure long days. Look forward to see more of your work in the future!
