mcp.tc is a directory of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. Each server has its own page at mcp.tc/i/{slug} with what it does, its tools, whether it needs a sign-in or an API key or runs locally, and one-click setup for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other clients. Every step uses the server's own URL or package, so your client connects straight to the server and nothing passes through mcp.tc.
mcp-tc is mcp.tc's command-line tool: open source (MIT), Node.js 20 or later, no account, no telemetry. Run it with npx mcp-tc. It searches the directory and adds a server to your client with the vendor's URL or package: it shows the command or config change first, asks, backs up the config file and keeps API keys on your computer. mcp-tc scan looks up the servers already in your client configs. Server authors can start a project from a template, check a server the way mcp.tc reads it, make a server card and a server.json, and submit it. JSON output and exit codes make it easy to script.
