- SQL Console: new result tab "Pivot" next to "Chart". It shows a cross table of the rows:
- The fields are chosen in a side bar. Row fields and column fields can be nested (e.g. DEPTNO, then JOB), with subtotals per group. "Totals of single-element groups" also shows subtotals of groups with only one subgroup.
- Several values, each with its own aggregate function: Count, Count distinct, Sum, Avg, Min or Max. "(rows)" counts the rows.
- Totals are computed from the rows themselves, so that they are also correct for Avg and Count distinct.
- The values of a row or column field can be filtered (filter button next to the field). Filtered rows are not counted, also not in the totals.
- Double-clicking a cell selects its rows in the "Rows" tab and sorts the rows accordingly.
- "Chart" shows the pivot table as chart (the groups, without subtotals and totals).
- "SQL..." generates the SQL statement that computes the pivot table.
- "Copy" copies the pivot table with header to the clipboard, "Save as CSV..." saves it as CSV file.
- "Save as Excel..." saves an Excel workbook (.xlsx, can also be opened with LibreOffice) with an Excel PivotTable, the pivot table as formulas over the rows (with collapsible groups and AutoFilter), and the rows themselves.
- Fixed: SQL scripts exported for SQLite, HSQLDB, Firebird, Sybase, Informix, Derby or Cloudscape could not be imported reliably if a text value contained line breaks. Inside such a value, a line ending with ";" broke the statement, and blank lines, leading and trailing blanks and lines starting with "--" got lost. Carriage returns (CR) were dropped as well. For SQLite, HSQLDB, Firebird, Sybase and Informix, line breaks are now exported as char(10)/char(13) expressions, so each value stays on one line of the script. The import now keeps multi-line string literals unchanged, including carriage returns. This also makes scripts exported for Derby and Cloudscape, and scripts exported with earlier versions, importable.
- Content viewer for BLOB/CLOB values:
- New button "Format" shows JSON and XML content indented. "Save to file..." and "Open externally" still use the original content.
- Long lines are wrapped. Line numbers are then shown, so that it can be seen where a line actually begins.
- New tool "Check Normalization" (menu "Data Model", also in the Data Browser): finds possible violations of the normal forms 1NF to 5NF and foreign keys whose type differs from the referenced column. If connected, 2NF/3NF findings are verified against the data. Findings can be opened in the extraction model editor or in the Data Browser.
- The shortcut of "Save as..." in the extraction model editor is now Ctrl+Shift+S instead of Ctrl+A, which conflicted with "Select all".
