IDB-Keyval is a tiny promise-based key-value store built on top of IndexedDB for simple browser persistence. It provides a much smaller API than full IndexedDB wrappers and is designed to remain tree-shakeable. Developers can store structured-clonable values and retrieve them asynchronously by key. It includes single and batch operations for reading, writing, and deleting data, along with clear, key, value, and entry helpers. Its update helper queues changes to avoid common non-atomic read-modify-write problems. Custom stores are supported, while more complex indexing, iteration, transactions, and schema management are intentionally left to fuller IndexedDB libraries.
