IDA MCP is the official Model Context Protocol server from Hex-Rays for connecting AI agents to IDA Pro. It lets compatible assistants inspect and operate on IDA databases through structured MCP tools. The server can work with an open IDA GUI session or run headlessly through IDA’s automation libraries. Multiple clients can share and manipulate analysis state through the underlying IDA Nexus architecture. Supported integrations include Claude Code, Codex CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, Pi, and generic MCP clients. A dashboard and logging tools provide visibility into agent sessions and troubleshooting data. The project requires modern IDA releases and is intended for legitimate reverse engineering, debugging, and security analysis.
